... just got a little better after watching Gossip Girl and Damages.
Oh GG, how I love thee. I've always been kind of 'meh' on Leighton Meester, but after watching this weeks GG I love her! She's so fabulously douchey and wonderful as Blair. Seriously, Blair greeting Jenny in her see-through white robe and micro nightgown, and then inviting Jenny upstairs to 'help her change', her ass in Jenny's face the whole time they were going up the stairs only to then prance around Jenny in her frilly underwear, before lounging seductively on her bed while seducing Jenny over to the dark-side was such good fun. Not to mention the fact that she left Serena staring after her longingly as she ascended the stairs in her see-through robe a scene earlier. Honestly, Serena looked broken hearted, and really if Blair decided that she wasn't going to snuggle with me on the couch and watch Breakfast at Tiffany's while we ate croissants like we always used to, I'd be pretty broken hearted too. Note to Blake: Gay it up, Leighton's stealing your shocking pink thunder!
All in all, episode two of GG was far more entertaining than the pilot and I'm looking forward to next week. Kelly Rutherford doing her best impression of Julie Cooper was also awesome. I do love my fabulously bitchy women.
Damages also started out in the most deliciously gay way as well. I always kind of shipped Ellen/Patty, they totally remind me of a TV version of Miranda/Andy (only I think Patty Hewes might actually be MORE devious than Miranda Priestly, which is quite an accomplishment), so the episode opening with Ellen and Patty sitting closely together on Patty's small couch as Ellen looks over at her tenderly was the bestest.
Patty: He called off the engagement?
Ellen: (gazing over at Patty) Maybe we went to far. (slight pause and more gazing) Do you regret what we did?
Don't be silly Ellen, she could never regret making sweet love to you! The only thing she could regret is that it took you both so long to realize how you felt about each other.
In all seriousness though, this show continues to rock. Glenn Close is brilliant, and I'm liking that Rose Byrne is getting a bit more to do with Ellen now. I have to say that I really want to know what's going to happen though. Stop teasing me Damages, no more foreplay!
And on a final note, I'm now completely hooked on The Devil Wears Prada Miranda/Andy fic. I've been gorging myself on it and I cannot get enough. I've even watched the movie again twice now since reading
thelastgoodname's When in Doubt, Wear Red. The obsession is so sweet, but I'm going into withdrawal now. I need moar!
Edited: Because I forgot to mention that I also really liked the Dirty Sexy Money pilot. "I hate you!", lol. That was a fun first episode. "I had aaaaa scotch!" oh, Karen. I already love Jeremy, Karen, Juliet and think that the storyline with Billy Baldwin and his transgender lover, Carmletia, is sweet (*loves Candis Cayne*)

Date: 2007-09-29 02:26 am (UTC)just for the images (I love you already for that pics) I just can say Serena+Blair= HOT ,But I'm always on blondes/brunettes ships so...btw check this clip:

at 00:29 that stare it's priceless, also note the hand on the elbow *sigh*. And I still haven't watch GG, can you believe it? lol I already have the 2 first episodes though, waiting for me on my hard disk so I'll tell later if the show rocks or sucks (for me anyway)
I adsolutely LOVED Meryl Streep on DWP, loved her. She was like the soul of the movie or something. Neither I have anything against the age gap, but I like the Emily/Andrea pair more. I mean, I worship (sp?) Meryl Streep like an actress but that's it. Ms. Blunt on the other hand *dreamy look*. It's really bad the lack of fiction with them around. It's always happens that with my favs ships, like Claire/Nikki from Heroes i.e. *whispering* you should totally write a Clikki fic sometime ;)
Almost forgot, neither I liked the new sister on BW, she was even annoying on some parts. But the boyfriend got me more annoyed for some reason. Anyway the show isn't that good but I'll stay around just to see where they'd take it. Also the Sarah/Jamie thing seems promising *grins*

Date: 2007-09-29 03:04 am (UTC)Word, I totally love the Serena/Blair pairing, and the actresses totally have mad chemistry with each other. Blonde + Brunette is also very visually pleasing (and makes fic so much easier, lol)
btw check this clip: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Xj5mnTttsUo
Ah, thanks for gaying it up just like I asked Blake. LOL, honestly I loved the smirk and the little "come here sweet thing" motion. Honestly, the actresses have just as much chem as the characters. Also, it cracked me up how bored Leighton looked for most of the clip. I think she would have rather been doing other things with Blake *wink*

If you don't like the pilot give the second episode a shot, because I found the second ep to be much better than the pilot. Plus, there's Blair being fabulously bitchy and prancing around half naked which is just good fun.

Oh, I'm completely in love with Emily Blunt. Ever since I saw "My Summer of Love" I have adored her. Miranda is probably the only role where I've found Meryl hot. I always think she's fabulous, but not so much with the hot. M/A is kind of an underdog pairing for me, in that usually I will ship the couple that I find the best looking, but M/A somehow transcends that, lol.
I totally agree about the lack of DWP fic though, for E/A, M/A, and M/E. There were so many great (hot) female characters in that movie that there should be more fic. Hell, I'd even like Emily/Serena fic.
It's always happens that with my favs ships, like Claire/Nikki from Heroes i.e. *whispering* you should totally write a Clikki fic sometime ;)
The lack of Heroes femslash is astounding. Fandom for that show is totally a boys club. I do find it pretty hilarious though that most of the femslash is Niki/Jessica (and by hilarious I mean hawt, lol). I actually did write a couple Clikki pieces Flower (http://fembuck.livejournal.com/58921.html) and On the Road (http://fembuck.livejournal.com/58763.html), but they are from a while ago. I'm hoping Niki will be more integrated with the females rest of the cast this season so it'll be easier to slash her.
But the boyfriend got me more annoyed for some reason.
Oh, I hate this character. On my first watching of the pre-air pilot I actually even managed to convince myself that he died. Sadly, watching the second airing made me realize that he's probably alive and I hated him even more. This show has like every element I like in TV so despite the fact that the pilot wasn't astounding I'm going to keep watching. Also, Jaime/Sarah is hot. And according to Katee Sackhoff there's going to be more Sarah so that's a plus

Date: 2007-09-29 04:00 am (UTC)Totally agree. They have this huge vibe coming out off the them in waves lol We need more candids shots, definitively.
Also, it cracked me up how bored Leighton looked for most of the clip. I think she would have rather been doing other things with Blake *wink*
LoL You're hilarious, a cool mental image I had there for a second ;) I read some people complaining about Leighton looking so serious on that clip but I think that is because she have to have this bitchy image because Blair for the pics. But Ooo Blake is my girl, flirting with Leighton and stuff lol
If you don't like the pilot give the second episode a shot, because I found the second ep to be much better than the pilot. Plus, there's Blair being fabulously bitchy and prancing around half naked which is just good fun.
actually I enjoyed the pilot. The scene at the bar in the Palace was worth watching it. So far I like Dan's character too. God, he's so cute with his crush on Serena. But also Blair half naked sounds really good.
Oh, I'm completely in love with Emily Blunt. Ever since I saw "My Summer of Love" I have adored her. >/em<
Me too, she looked so young and gorgeous without all the makeup's mask she had to wear for the DWP. I mean, I love her with her bitchy attitude and all but it was too much make up for her pretty face. And I feel the same way about Meryl. She's GREAT on acting but not really my type, even on her older movies.
I actually did write a couple Clikki pieces Flower and On the Road, but they are from a while ago./em>
Oh damn, you wrote those??? I didn't knew that. I love Flower, it was perfect for a fic that was make only with the pilot like a background. You def should write more, please?? *puppy eyes* There too much boy stuff on that fandom already, we need balance there. I don't like Nikki/Jessica fics that much but I'm ok with them. Also I'm hoping to watch more of Nikki this season, she's one of my favs on the show.
Also, Jaime/Sarah is hot
Period. I think that is the only reason I'll watch the show, I just going to skip out the parts with the annoying boyfriend.
BTW , how we should call the Serena/Blair ship? I can't come out with a good one
