Whedon and Dushku Play with Dollhouse - see link for full article

Variety says Dushku will star in the Whedon-penned series "Dollhouse," which has been given a seven-episode order by Fox.

"Dollhouse" follows a top-secret world of people programmed with different personalities, abilities and memories depending on their mission. After each assignment -- which can be physical, romantic or even illegal -- the characters have their memories wiped clean, and are sent back to a lab (dubbed the "Dollhouse").

The show centers on Dushku's character, Echo, as she slowly begins to develop some self-awareness, which impacts her missions.

*hops from one foot to the other* ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod!

Joss and Eliza working together again = win

Concept of the show = win

Eliza playing a sex-ass spy with issues = win

It's official Dollhouse FTW!

I am SO happy with this news! Let's just hope that FOX has learned its lesson when it comes to Joss and that it will give Dollhouse a full season. After they screwed the pooch with Firefly, hopefully they've realized that Joss Whedon shows attract awesomely fanatical fans and that these people will physically force others to watch it and that the numbers will grow.

Whedon, Fox and a fresh, original concept: Nothing could go wrong!

Seriously though, this sounds like it has the potential to be awesome. Against all my better judement I will probably get overly excited for this show.

Fox is like me in chemistry class: It never learns!

That said, I hope the show lasts long enough for Joss to do a take-off on the "undercover as a fashion model" episode. The premise practically demands it and it's the one female-oriented cliche he hasn't put a twist on so far. Plus, it's Eliza and Joss, so... slashy!

Eliza back on TV! Eliza back on TV! *hops up and down with giddyness* I was wondering what they'd put her in since they optioned her after Nurses didn't get picked up. <3 Another Joss show. This is so made of win.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! My tv screen has missed Eliza dearly. It's so 'blah' without her. The only Eliza goodness it's had is reruns of Buffy and Wrong Turn. Which really, as much as it pains me to say it, just don't cut it.

That being said: Fox better not fuck it up.

I am so ecstatic about this, I think I could dance. I hope the strike doesn't last too long, the sooner this show airs the better. Fox, please don't cancel this show and please somehow let there be a crossover episode with the Sarah Connor Chronicles.

i'm afraid to get too excited lest FOX fuck viewers in the ass like they always do when they air cool shows and then yank them well before they have a chance to build an audience...having said that...this is the best news i've heard in a very long time.

Am I the only one who thinks Eliza Dushku and Leighton Meester are long lost sisters? They look so much alike to me. Maybe that's why I find them both BLOODY SEXY.

Anyways, I can't wait for this show to air! Even though I love Eliza, I thought Tru Calling was crap =/.
