From now on my nickname for Sarah is going to be Pancakes.

I fuckin love this show.

Summer Glau is perfection.  In the scene with her lacing up those shoes I was like "how is it possible for one person to be so incredibly perfect?"

Pancakes makes pain beautiful.  Seriously, Lena sells pain like there's a Fire Sale going on or something.  She's good man.

BAG can act.

This show withholds hugs masterfully.

The last scene of this episode was perfection.  "...if they can do that they won't have to replace us.  They'll become us" and then the lingering shot of Cameron dancing in the fading light of day.  Seriously, after that scene I don't think there are words enough in the English language to describe my girlcrush on Summer Glau.  I'll be a sap and say it, I had tears in my eyes her dancing was so beautiful, and when I saw Derek's reaction, when you saw the realization in his eyes that whatever Cameron is she is not only a machine, not only a thing, but a conscious being capable of emotion and expressions of beauty, I was ... damn, show.  Damn.

Seriously, I was moved by Brian fucking Austin Green's acting.  You know a show is impressive when that can happen.

Hell, the last 15 minutes of this episode killed me.

I was totally into Cameron and her girl!crush on Maria, and was all "awww' when Cameron was peaking around the corner watching Maria dance.  The very scary robot from last episode was completely erased from my mind by Summer's doe-eyed awesomeness, and then came the scene when they met up with Dimitri and after completing her mission Cameron just walked away and left Dimitri and hot!Maria to their deaths.  All I could think over and over again was "fuckin hell, Cameron".

Between the scene in the dance studio and the breakfast scene with Derek and the ending scene with her dancing, this was a whirlwind episode for Cameron that has left me completely and utterly fascinated by her, and scared shitless of her as well.  To have this 'perfect creature' as Sarah called her, that is capable of wonder and expressions of emotion that can also be capable of passionless acts of apathy and cruelty is terrifying.  I mean, she sucks you in with those eyes and that guise of innocence but underneath there is something alien and cold and it's magnificent to watch.

I have to say, I felt like John was being a whiny bitch for most of the episode and when he was all "yeah, I remember it.  It's the day you stopped being my Mom" I wanted to smack that kid upside the head.  However, about a minute later I was all choked up for both him and Sarah.  I thought that scene between them in John's room and then outside together burning the hand was beautiful.  Sarah's voice-over about how she was no longer a hero in his eyes, the shame and desperation for forgiveness that was pouring off of her in the bedroom.  The thigh squeeze.  I was like "John, hug your mother" but at the same time, it's like how fucked up is that situation, how controlled have they had to be for years to just survive and it seemed fitting that even after that moment of bonding there was still distance and pain, because that is there reality.

I love Bruce Davison.  I think he's in like every show produced on television right now, and that's okay by me.  When he was describing the attack on the mental hospital from T2, I was riveted.  Especially when he was talking about T-Arnie reaching out telling John to "Come with [him] if [he] wants to live" and it being like the hand of God.  Damn good acting, and writing.

And the imagery afterwards with the rain, and then later on with Sarah appearing through the fire like some dark angel, holding her hand out to Ellison to save him.  Damn, show.  Damn.

Though I do have a question about the rain thing.  Was it just like a really convenient natural phenomenon, or was the show suggesting that Pancakes is like Storm and can summon weather for dramatic purposes?  It was beautiful, I was just like [Urkel voice] Did Pancakes do that? [/UV]

And for sheer badass-ness, I have to mention the sex on a motorbike and in leather boots that was Cameron.  I just loved that entire sequence.  It was just pure cool.  It was visual porn and I loved it.  From the second they showed her getting off of the bike to the moment she left the evidence room I was just like "this is cool, this is fucking cool, I love this shit.  Cool!"

Hmm, I feel like I should find something to pick on lest I come across as being biased.  Okay, I've got one.  I'm not a purest by any stretch of the imagination, but the recreations of the hospital scenes from T2 made me cry a little.  They just did not live up to the original.  I love Lena, but she didn't manage to get Sarah's crazy and fury and desperation out.  I was all like, "why does Sarah look so well coiffed and lickable?  She should look homicidal and batshit!"   It was mean of the producers to do that to Lena.  It's already hard enough for her being compared to Hamilton already, and to make her try and redo those scenes was just mean.  Hamilton was perfection during the Hospital stuff in T2, you gotta just leave that alone.  You gotta just recognize how awesome that was, and just leave it alone.

Beyond that, I can't even really think right now, I'm so in love with this episode.  I'm sure more will come to me later that I wish I'd written, I mean I think I remember some funny bits from the beginning but I can't even think about it now.

Damn, show.  Damn.

SEASON FINALE?!?!  *SOBS*  *SOBS LOUDER*  Fucking FOX, man, you can't take this away from me already.  I want more!  *CRIES*

The producers of the show were talking about how they are more interested in the characters then explosions, and about how they respect their audiences intelligence and refuse to dumb down the show at WonderCon, and tonight's episode was a perfect example of that.  Mad respect for the creators and runners of the show.  Mad respect.

If this doesn't get renewed for a second season I am going to go batshit all over the FOX network.  They cannot do this to me again.  I need my Caminator and Pancakes dynamic duo of sexy and violence every week.  I need.

Damn!

Cameron in police uniform = drools. Would love to see her in military formal though. Hawt!Uniformed terminator = instant win. I would be happy with any kind of shit they would throw at me, as long as Summer would walk around looking so fine.

I am still /fanwanking that Summer isn't really sent back to help them. The re-use of the music and Cameron actively presueing something she was told was an "expression of the soul" shows a want of being 'human'. Or at least not 100% pure bolts and wire.

Its nagging in my back of my mind that the writers will pull some crazy ass shit with ofc Cameron being in the basement, getting BAG to tell the location of the base. But also that Cameron MIGHT be the big heads up i.e. Skynet or at least one of the top dogs on Robo side. There gotta be a point where the leader of le Terminators go, "hmm what to do when no humans and everything lies in ruins?" and also be fasinated by the human race. Seems a bit BSG to me, but I can totally see the big heads up robo leader(s) wanting to be human and understand them/us.

Its a tiny bit of a stretch, ok maybe a bit more, but with the seeds the writers planted I can't help going /ponders and fanwank.

Summer's hotness really is a reward in and of itself. We're really lucky not only does the show let us look at her being pretty every episode, but that it's also good!

I hope she's been sent back to help them, I like creepy but ultimately good Cameron. I definitely think she had something to do with basement, and I like the idea of some of her old/sadistic programming coming forward ... but only if she's uses her previously evil skills to help out John and Sarah.

There gotta be a point where the leader of le Terminators go, "hmm what to do when no humans and everything lies in ruins?" and also be fasinated by the human race.

I love the idea of Terminator's coming back to learn how to be more human in preparation for the day that they replace us completely, I just can't see Cameron being in on it consciously at least because of how close she is to John. I mean there are billions of us on the planet, and I don't know how the writers would justify her helping to keep alive the two people on the planet that are trying to stop them from ever being created, just to learn how to be human.

Even the Cylons in all of their crazy plans to be more human still nuked the shit out of us because we were a threat.

If Cameron was just into learning to emulate humans, why not kill John's ass and then join a sorority or a reading club or something and learn from random people who are not intent on cybernetic organism genocide?
