Wow. That is the most epic of epic fails. That is like the failed lovechild from the illicit gay affair of Odysseus and Aeneas. Since when does anyone in Hollywood believe in casting women OLDER than the role calls for. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?

I could find some random airhead in the mall whose MOM could do better. With no preparation. And doing her own makeup (apparently the entire makeup budget went to the purchase of frizzy old-lady hair products--guaranteed to make you lok creepy, ridiculous, AND 10 years older).

I could definitely see Michelle Pfeiffer as Narcissa. I loved her in Hairspray--she's a great villain. *sigh*

Then again, almost anyone would have been better. I could probably name at least 10 blonde actresses without resorting to IMDB, any one of whom would have been better. Or at least, you know, not better suited to play Nicolas Flamel's wife.
