OH MY DOG GOD!  I cannot believe that it took Rachel two and a half books to figure out that Ivy was gay.

OMG!  How stupid is she?

What a dumb shit.  What an unimaginable ignoramus.

How is she still alive?

Fuuuuuuck.

I mean, like goddamn!  Really ... really ... ???  People hire this chick to detect stuff!  They put their lives in her hands, and it takes her like a year living with Ivy to figure out that she likes girl bits?  OMG, what a mutherfucking idiot.

That scene was priceless though.  Fuuuuuck.

Also, I love Erica!  "He treats me like I'm still crawling around in diapers trying to bite the dog!"  HA!

Yeah, Rachel's a bit thick. Unfortunately it gets even worse. :/

Yeah, I'd imagine so from spoilers I've heard. I'm preparing a soft surface to bash my head against when I get to the Rachel and Ivy's aura mix part because how do you deny things after something like that. How does "I'm straight" trump "soulmates"? I don't know. Anyway, I know frustration is ahead, but I'm chugging along like Rachel Morgan an idiot.

I don't know. I'm setting myself up for disappointment in the next book because I'm still holding out hope that it'll happen.

Yeah, I'm going through this all with tentative hope (living vicariously through fanfic). It's like, Harrison has dropped so many clues and run with it for so long that I feel like it HAS to be going somewhere. But at the same time, I've been burned SO many times before and it's hard to trust that someone is going to actually follow through.

I'm going feel so burned if doesn't though. I mean, how can you set someone up as a love interest for your main character for 7 books and then have it go nowhere. Mostly, I'm already half-heartbroken on Ivy's account. She deserves better.

Oh, I know, right? Ivy totally does deserve better.

Which is why I like Skimmer a bit more than the way she's portrayed merits. I'm completely on the Rachel/Ivy bandwagon, but it was nice to see Ivy so happy, for once. :/

I actually liked the latest book ('Outlaw Demon Wails'?) better than two the previous ones which I ended up skimming through. For one thing, because of what happens in the previous book (oops, almost gave it away), we're back to a much stronger plot, that stands on its own despite not moving Rachel/Ivy forward.

Rachel/KH is the biggest tease ever. I'm obviously biased, but I don't know how she can ignore Ivy's epic love for her even if she's not a lesbian/bi. She'd have to be way at the straight extreme of the Kinsey scale to be that resistant. It feels a little heartless in addition to dumb.

Anyways, all of this makes me suspect that KH is just not willing to go there with this series. All the emoness is actually giving me Rachel/Ivy fatigue. If KH's not going to go there, I wish she'd lay off already on the blood stuff and move on with them being friends or something. Rachel is entertaining enough, no teasing of the lesbians necessary for me to read the books.
