fembuckJuno's alive, bitches! Yay! I know that while the first one was brilliant, this one will likely suck but I'm seeing it anyone, cause 1) Juno's alive and 2) my love for the first one is so epic that I have to watch this one.

but do you know how much I hate that there are suddenly MEN EVERYWHERE? This is a story about the women, damn it.
Yeah, it was really nice how estrogen filled the first one was. It was great seeing women, and female friendships being the focus of an entire film. Also, from the trailer the men seem DUMB which makes it all that much worse. It's like, "Yeah, police dude. Taking the person you suspect to be a serial killer back into the cave system that she has experience with and supposed killed her six friends in is a GREAT idea!" UGH.

Why yes, forcing the horribly traumatized and/or potential serial killer back to the scene of the crime is a *brilliant* idea!

But if Juno's alive, that means the pairing I made up in my head after reading is still possible . . .
If you're TEAM JUNO, then you totally need to see the first one. I'm a total Juno apologist and she rocks in the first one. The fact that it's now confirmed that she's alive, makes everything so much better!

Date: 2009-02-15 11:18 pm (UTC)They never showed her die on screen, so in my head she's always been alive. BUT, she was left in a very dire situation so most people assumed she died off screen.
The fact that she survived makes me ridiculously happy. It makes The Descent 2 go from, "I'll probably watch it" to "I'm there, man! I'm fucking there!"

But yay on a Descent sequel! I loved the first movie!
Me too. I'm obsessed with the first one. I've seen it over a dozen times, and I never get bored. I'm like a six year old with a disney movie that way, lol.
But yeah, this one will probably suck, but my love of the first one will have in me the theater for sure.
