I'm making multiple posts about Twilight! Jane (not you Dakota), get me off this crazy thing!

I just love how unconcerned everyone is. Jasper is about to rip Bella's throat out and ...

Emmett looks like he's waiting for the bus.

Rose looks like she's living vicariously through him, like "FINALLY, someone is going to do something about this girl!"

Alice looks like she's daydreaming about shoes or Bella in nothing but shoes.

Jasper looks like Miss Marple or something (it was the son-in-law!).

And Edward looks like he's giving birth, or making a really big poop.

God, this movie going to be horrendous.  I kind of can't wait!

Yes! This was my first thought, possibly only thought when I watched the trailer. Followed closely by, "Wow, this is going to be a train wreck."

It is. It so is. Based on the trailer I don't even think it's going to be a funny train wreck. But I'm going to watch it, because I'm weak, and because I want to see the awesomely gay moments between Alice and Bella realized on screen.

And you know they're just going to f that up too. When I actually read the second book a couple of months ago, I found myself going (more than once, mind you) "Holy crap! Bella/Alice is practically cannon!" I have a strong feeling that, somehow, its not gonna be so femslash-y in the movie.

The thing is that nobody in the gen. pop. really looks for femslash. I've never really heard people bring up how gay Alice and Bella act, outside of femslashers like us. So I'm hoping that because the gay seems to be under so many people's radars (how this can be I don't know, since like you said it's so obvious that it's practically canon) that they won't have done anything to tune it down. Ashley Greene (if the 1st movie is any indication), doesn't understand the difference between platonic affection and smoldering lust, so hopefully in her attempt to convey "friendship" she'll make Alice super gay for Bella like she did in the first movie.

If anything, their interaction in the trailer is even gayer than that scene was in the book. I swear that Alice didn't actually lead Bella down any stairs by the hand (I'm never picking up that book again, so I can't check and see). But if they play up the friendship in the movie (like the insinuation that Alice helped Bella get dressed for her party) then the movie could be even gayer than the book. The only downside is that KStew is incapable of acting, so Ashley will have to bring the gay almost entirely by herself.

I'm going to the library tonight to check out New Moon, so I'll be sure to look up the hand holding faqz for you :).
