SRSLY U GUISE, U GUISE SRSLY, THIS EPISODE WAS LEGITIMATELY GOOD!

Dear Lost Girl,
Can Michelle Lovretta please write every episode from now on?
Sincerely,
Everyone

Cause, I though it completely jargogles me ... I like Bo again.  Before this episode whenever I thought of Bo I just wanted to punch her in the face part of her face ... really hard.  But by the end of this episode I liked her, and kind of maybe respect her a bit.  I still think she's dumb as shit most of the time sometimes, and she's definitely still got that 'willful blindness to the truth/willful disregard for common sense' thing going on, but at least it was in a positive sorta way this time.  I don't even ... but it's true.

Thoughts:

- And Bo/Dyson doing it ... well, we are off to a wonderful start.  Ugh.  I don't even care that it turned out to be a dream sequence.

- Bo is just such a humble person.  She could really use a little more self-confidence.  She just doesn't believe in herself enough.  Pat yourself on the back every once in a while Bo.  Toot your own horn for a change.

- LOL Saskia is Bo's mother?  Well, I guess it's a good thing they didn't do it then (nice cover with that 'novelty whore' line there Efa).  Bo's gotta feel a little awkward about the girl!crush now.

- Saskia's on screen, I am happy.  Saskia's wearing a hat.  I'm happier.  Though the fact that the writers went to the Merlin School of Subtlely when it comes to female villains, makes me less happy.

- "Quiet like a bunny"  LOL Kenzi.  Considering her love of drama it does NOT surprise me Kenzi reads romance novels.

-  And Bo's a little snitty after learning Dyson's been lying to her since the beginning ... and that's it? [FYI:  she remains only a little snitty throughout.  But I think that's more due to the fact that Lovretta writes Bo, Bo doesn't act like a complete douchebag, and in fact she resembles an actual human being with a working brain]

-  Anna Silk looks really good this episode though.  Bo always looks best in minimal make-up.  Also her acting, WAY WAY better this episode.  At least in this scene.  [FYI:  when Anna is given dark material and zingy one-liners she is very watchable.  It's almost hard to imagine she's the same actress that made me CRINGE last week.  But then again, this time she had decent material to work with and Bo wasn't acting like Justin Bieber fangirl so...]

-  "I know she's kind of a big, crazy bitch"  LOL.  Finally I see a family resemblance.

-  Oooh, Bo's going to see LAUREN!

Bo: How do Succubus' fight each other?
Kenzi: Slow motion pillow fights, crotch lasers?
Oh, Kenzi I heart you so much.

- Bo managed to have a civil conversation with Lauren, and agreed to talk to her?  WHAT IS THIS SHOW THAT I'M WATCHING??!?!?!  What has this sensible person done with Bo?  What has this show that makes sense done with Lost Girl?  *hey, the show has earned this level of sarcasm!*

- Saskia pulling a June Clever?  Nice.

-  Ugh, Dyson you can shove your "I love her" up you butt.  NO1CURR

-  LOL, it just kind of cracks me up that Bo kept on eating that cookie Saskia had baked the whole time she was bitching at her.  Oh, I see, she had to cause their drugged.  "The secret ingredient is love" *twirls Bo's hair*  ewww, creepy.

-  LOL Saskia got Bo hot serving men and women.  BEST MOTHER EVER

-  THAT DRESS SASKIA IS WEARING IS INSANE!  HER BOOBS!  HER BOOBS!

-  It amuses me how much Bo and Saskia seem like they're coming onto each other.  It's like they went to the Anna Torv School of How to Have Inappropriate Chemistry with Women Playing your Relative

Efa:  I'm pretty sure I was speaking English!

-  Himbo Army ... flee from us and our model army ... lol, well done Bo.

-  HOT DAMN!  OH MY GOD!  I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!  Um, by blowing up the Ash did Saskia just unwittingly save Lauren from slavery?  I probably won't find out the answer to that question until season 3 considering how quickly people remember Lauren exists on this show.

- LOL 4 EVER!  BO JUMPING THROUGH THAT WINDOW WAS THE MOST HILARIOUS/RIDICULOUS THING I'VE SEEN!  She was probably a HANDFUL in High School.

-  OMG LAUREN CLIMBING UP ON A GURNEY IS THE HOTTEST THING TO EVER HOT!

-  I love how Bo keeps talking about "her team"!  Like, bitch who are you kidding, it's you and Kenzi.

IS BO THANKING LAUREN AND ACKNOWLEDGING THE RISK SHE IS TAKING?
AND DID THEY JUST KISS?
AND ... I AM HAPPY-ISH

Kenzi:  So what are we supposed to do when we fight Mommy dearest ... besides pee our pants a lot
Kenzi:  Did you make this whole thing up to make-out with me?

-  Bo's quick with hand-cuffs!  Watch out Lauren!  Hee hee

-  The Underground Fae-road

Efa:  NO RUNNING IN THE HOUSE!
This was doubly hilarious after the ridiculously slow way Bo ran out of there.  Seriously, what was that?  Had Anna Silk like twisted her ankle earlier that day?  Girlfriend was practically strolling in terror.

-  I like Dyson's jacket in the scene with the Nor.  Okay, fine.  I WANT Dyson's jacket from the scene with the Nor.

OH GOD DAMN THIS IS SOME SERIOUS SHIT GOING DOWN RIGHT HERE ON THIS FRAKKING SHOW.  I gotta admit, the sacrifice Dyson was willing to make for Bo was pretty serious.  I have to give the man props for be willing to give up his wolf.  STILL, I AM SO HAPPY AT THE MASSIVE COCK-BLOCK THAT JUST GOT THROWN IN THE WAY OF BO/DYSON.  Like I honestly could not have WISHED for a MORE MASSIVE COCK-BLOCK

SHE AIN'T HEAVY, SHE'S MY MOTHER

OOOOOH EFA IS BADASS.  Bitch is like a cat.  Eight more lives bitch!  Still ... I liked this scene more when it was Chase disappearing after Krista threw her over a banister in the Blade:  The Series finale, but it was pretty bad-ass here too!

-  I like Dyson when he thinks he's Wolverine.

-  Oooh, cliffhanger!

And I am officially on-board for and anticipating season 2.  Well done show.  In fact, I think if you just pretend episodes 11 and 12 don't exist, season one might even be re-watchable.

Hope my comment isn't too long

Ok, now that I took my pills :)

Sure, this ep was good. Not stellar, but honestly good. I guess that was an impossible task after the last 4 eps. (hm yes, I consider that nothing really interesting happened since ep. 8, and the quasi-absence of Lauren all this time only made it worse). Again, things are so much better when there's no Fae-of-the-week case (can Dyson be considered the Fae-on-the-week case of last ep.? - which I wisely did not watch and I thank you for your advice). Still, I'm not that impressed. Because Lauren wasn't even on screen 10 mn. Come on, I'm starving here ! This show won't improve until she becomes a regular.

LOL Saskia got Bo hot serving men and women.
"Honey, that's how everyone should live". I love that. Saskia could make such a brilliant villian. The "mentally instable mode" was sometimes kinda funny, but a bit too much for me. I'd so much prefer her to be a non-repentant bad girl, torn between loyalty to herself and a mother-love. I want depth I think, but I chose the wrong show I guess.

I gotta admit, the sacrifice Dyson was willing to make for Bo was pretty serious. I have to give the man props for be willing to give up his wolf.
That sure is a massive cock-block. It may also mean we'll get to see douchebag again. Certainly it's the after-effects of his last week puppy behaviour, but I found Dyson boring, worse uninteresting, transparent, non existent. And for the first time, I had problem with Kris's acting. It was flat. however, his wish of losing his werewolfness for Bo made me think of a reverse-Spike who asked to be a demon again to forget his love for the slayer.

Kenzi was not boring, just completely mistaken. Her sarcasm was totally out of line in front of the situation Bo had to deal with. Her over-protectiveness is boring, and even kinda abnormal for me, to a point where I honestly wondered if she wasn't hiding something from Bo as well and end up being the traitor of the week.

And Bo's a little snitty after learning Dyson's been lying to her since the beginning ... and that's it?
+1.
Dyson lied to her ALL THIS TIME, about her mother, no less, and she's not even angry ??? blasé, detachment, what? We know Bo-Dyson is endgame, and I personaly want to puke everytime I think about it, because they have as much chemistry as ice cubes, but come on. I get we are to understand that Bo's attachment to Lauren was way stronger hence Bo's never-ending pout, but I don't buy it, I don't trust the writers. I also wish Bo had gone all anger towards Trick and Dyson for their omission.

I hate the idea that Lauren almost had to bargain with Bo in order to have the "talk". Again, Bo needing something from Lauren is the only reason she went to see her; plus, I hate the face Bo made when she answered to kensi's "where do we start?" "with Lauren". I'm fed up with that, even her "she betrayed me" melodrama doesn't excuse that... disdain? annoyance? Lauren deserves so much more, and so much better. Bo, if people kept things hidden from you, or acted for your own good behind your back, that's because you're a total moron. And they are masochistic.

From another perspective, yeah, Lauren's "I'm in charge" attitude was great. At least, there's someone in this show who can react efficiently in urgency situations.

The kiss : deadly romantic, I liked it a lot. And after I rewatched it, I notice Bo was reponsive, as if she needed it to finally happen as well. Zoie was the emotional one. Again. Because Anna Silk still did not impress me. Bo goes through many emotions and reactions, but Silk always remains on the surface of them. I wish she went deeper. I thought playing a character that's a mix between a sexual confidante woman and a 15 years old teenager could be challenging.

Conclusion : I'm in for S2, but at 2 conditions : consistency in the writng, and REAL improvment for Lauren's character. I want to see her in all ep., equal time with the other maincharacters. And remain Dr Dyke. No less. Or I quit (Who I am kidding? As if I could refuse even a one second appearance of ZP ) ... Zoie : it's gonna be a long long winter-spring-summer waiting for you to return.

Thanx again for your recap. Great, as usual.
One question : will this ep. inspire you for new fanfics? I hope so ;)

Sure, this ep was good. Not stellar, but honestly good. I guess that was an impossible task after the last 4 eps.

How I feel. I was entertained this week. I think that's about as much as I'm ever going to get from this show. If season 2 can at least manage to be entertaining (if not smart) then I can deal with it.

It may also mean we'll get to see douchebag again.

I hope so. Douche!Dyson was at least fun to hate. Puppy!Dyson was just embarrassing (even though I did like his wardrobe)

Kenzi was not boring, just completely mistaken. Her sarcasm was totally out of line in front of the situation Bo had to deal with. Her over-protectiveness is boring, and even kinda abnormal for me

Out of place or not, I LOL'd at her 'pillow fights and crotch lasers joke', though I was like "Kenzi, Hale take your flirting OUT of the triage center please!".

But yeah, Bo and Kenzi's relationship is just there. The writers really screwed the pooch making them insta-BFFs. When Kenzi went into her "I got your back always" speech again this episode, I was just like "BUT WHY?" but then I just reminded myself this was Lost Girl and shut off my brain.

They're relationship really isn't that moving though, because I never saw them really grow close.

Dyson lied to her ALL THIS TIME, about her mother, no less, and she's not even angry ??? blasé, detachment, what? We know Bo-Dyson is endgame

I'm choosing to take Bo's tempered response as just better writing than a slap in the face to Bo/Lauren. She was mad at Dyson, yes she used him to heal, but she was using him to heal and she kind of put him in his place afterward. And she was very reasonable with Lauren this episode, unlike in previous episodes and we say no build up to that on screen. So I'm thinking Lovretta just writes the character better.

I'm also hoping that the fact Bo resembled an adult this episode means that she won't be such an obnoxious cunt next season.

I hate the idea that Lauren almost had to bargain with Bo in order to have the "talk". Again, Bo needing something from Lauren is the only reason she went to see her

Again, I'm just gonna shrug. Lovretta had to address the hole that the others writers had dug Bo/Lauren into, so I'm thinking her saying "We'll have that talk" over and over again was supposed to show Bo does want to move on from this, while establishing she still has feelings for Lauren.

As for Bo going to Lauren cause she needed something ... well, that's just Bo, isn't it? She's a user. All season long she's mostly only bothered with people when she's needed something. In this episode she only bothered to start talking to Dyson again because she needed healing, so ... that's just Bo being an awful person, as per usual.

The kiss : deadly romantic

I agree. And you're right, it was almost entirely ZP. ZP is the reason I like Bo/Lauren, because she sells Lauren's desire so well. I did like the way Bo stroked Lauren's hand, but Anna's acting is not what has me rooting for Bo/Lauren. Still, Zoie brings enough heat for both of them.

I'm in for S2, but at 2 conditions : consistency in the writng, and REAL improvment for Lauren's character. I want to see her in all ep., equal time with the other maincharacters. And remain Dr Dyke. No less.

This. Lauren is my main draw. If her screen time is anything like it was this season, I'm out. And I too want her to stay Dr. Dyke. If they place a Lauren/M relationship in front of me I'm out too. Lauren/F, I'll stay. Really, how they handle Lauren's character will determine how long I stay around. But I'm giving them a chance. I just hope they don't fuck it up.

ZP is the reason I started watching LG. Like you've said "because she sells Lauren's desire so well." Her acting skills & her chemistry w/ Silk are the ship that carry Bo/Lauren IMO. ZP's acting sets it up & distracts from the flaws that may occur."she brings enough heat for the both of them" YES EXACTLY! If and i say that lightly cause I'm an PepSi fan & I experienced UGLY, ZP/Lauren screen/story doesn't improve I too will say goodbye
