And I'm back!
Aug. 29th, 2011 11:24 amI love sleeping in my own bed again, but I do not love having to prepare my own meals and make my own bed :(
So much interneting to catch up on, but I did just finish watching Warehouse 13 episode 3x07 “Past Imperfect” and …
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT EPISODE?
It started out so cute and then …

...the rest of the episode happened :(
Thank god there’s a new episode tonight to erase the memory of this … whatever it was. Bring on Myka saving Captain Janeway with H.G.’s grappling hook!

Second of all, the episode seemed like a retread of a former, better storyline.
It was all about Myka doubting herself because she was too late to save dead!Sam from becoming dead, but we've already had the 'Myka doubts herself' plot-line with H.G. and it was done better then because we knew H.G. and cared about her and her relationship with Myka.
In this episode they kept on showing flashbacks of Myka and dead!Sam to make us care, but I didn't cause he's dead!Sam and H.G. exists in the world so all other romantic interests for Myka are irrelevant.

There were two threads of story that I could really appreciate from the episode's main plot, though. First, I find it interesting that they went to the effort to draw a parallel between Myka's past and Artie's past - in this ep for Myka and in Vendetta for Artie, we find out that artifacts had a huge impact on their lives even before they knew about the existence of artifacts. Second, I'm glad they cleared up the unnecessary kerfuffle regarding Sam's wife and the implication that Myka was a homewrecker. Good, done, settled... now, let's get HG back, and let Myka kiss her like they let her kiss Sam. ;)
Can't wait to see (Regent?) Mulgrew on tonight's ep.
