Okay, so I haven't seen the whole episode yet, but many are saying 4x06 of TLW is the best episode of the series, and based on the clips I've seen so far I'm inclined to agree. The "Phone Tree" opening sequence is like one of the best things I've ever seen on the show, like it was really cool to see this women actually acting like *gasp* friends. The whole "some lesbians you have to re-breakup with" bit, and the relay line between Bette, Kit, and Alice slayed me. Not to mention Jennyx10 with her fake Italian accent screwing the vagina wig over. Soooo good.

And of course, I really like my girl Kristanna's role in this episode. Paige didn't really have much to do but be supportive and adorable while her hair blew gently in the wind, but she did it well. And the scene with Paige and Shay, made my ovaries smile with its cuteness. Not only is Kris a ridiculously good-looking, Amazonian, Norwegian-American goddess, but she's good with kids, awwwwwww.

Shane clips from TLW 4x06

[Error: unknown template video]

Kristanna first appears 3:30 secs into the video in all of her smiling, hair blowing in the wind glory.

Her next scene at the 7:58 mark to the end of the video. Warning: Extremely adorableness ensues. I know it's just tv, but if her demeaner in this scene is any indication she's gonna be an awesome mom. Just really natural and sweet. *awwww*

Also, discussions about meatloaf shouldn't be so cute.

All I can say is that Angela Robinson continues to rock. And someone really needs to give this woman her own show to write because it would be the bestest ever. I mean, with her love of girls kicking ass, making out, bringing the funny and dressing in cute outfits there's no way that it wouldn't be a hit. Please, please, please Hollywood people's give Angela Robinson her own show. Lot's of people will love you forever if you do, I swears it!

oh god i hate to say it but i AM liking shane this season. she's still painful to look at but her character is a lot more interesting. she was funny in this episode!

"some lesbians you have to re-breakup with"
AWESOME.

on the other hand they're FLOUNDERING with helena and its making me sad D:

crazy!jenny is my favorite jenny of all. max was kind of likeable this episode but he still feels like soap-box leftovers from last season. marlee matlin is my new tv girlfriend. again. papi was tolerable (and her friend is GORGEOUS).

lol. I know. Shane isn't hot to me at all, and she used to be boring as sin, but I'm enjoying her this season with the displays of a sense of humor ("if it goes well we'll try for a sleepover next!") and bonding with Shay. Two thumbs up for Kate for suggesting it.

"some lesbians you have to re-breakup with"

This is why I occassionally like Bette. You know before she turns into a raving asshole again.

I know. It's like, yeah, Rachel does comedy well, but what they're doing to Helena is just wrong. I mean, Helena was a high powered business woman for a long time, I just don't buy that she has no marketable skills, and/or couldn't milk her name for a job. And as sexyfine as Sandrine Holt is, I don't really like the idea of someone having to whore themselves out so they don't get their kneecaps knocked out.

crazy!jenny is my favorite jenny of all.

So true. She's a horrible horrible person but so much fun to watch. Which is a nice change for her being a horrible person and painful to watch.

I'm still sitting on the fence about Jodi. Papi is aiight, and I still haven't seen the whole episode so I'll wait to weigh in on Tasha, though she is gorgeous.

But Angela Robinson did also make D.E.B.S. the movie with one of the least interesting lead characters you could possibly have in a lesbian, spy comedy.

Awww, give her a break. Yeah, Amy sucked but I'm gonna place like at least 50% of that on Sara Foster who cannot act at all. In fact I actively hated SF in the other thing I saw her in, so I'll give credit to Robinson that I liked Amy at all (uh, no I'm not biased at all. Shut up!). Besides D.E.B.S. did give us Lucy Diamond, and Janet and Scud, and Ninotcka so that more than makes up for Amy's blahness. Doesn't it?

D.E.B.S. really is the only thing of Robinson's I've seen though, so maybe I'll hold off until I see like a whole episode of Girl Trash! before campaigning to get her her own show, lol

And it only took 4 seasons, and someone not previously assosciated with the show to write and direct it.

So my internet connection finally allowed me to see the clip, yay!

I like the casual, windblown hair look for Paige, it's very good.

It's good to see them making fun of the 'Shane' attitude. I guess you have to keep Shane on her toes and force her to deal, she's entertaining even when she's panicking about the party.

'I don't know if I can get a babysitter on time': cracked me up. Hey, Shane's starting to work the kid angle to her advantage. I guess she did manage to use Shay to bail early from the party it looks like.

Adorable shot at the end there. So cute. Overall this ep makes me feel a lot better about Paige/Shane. After last week I was worried that we were already sliding down into surreal territory.

Oh I know. I got a touch of the vapours when Shane was talking to her outside and she was smiling as her hair blew gently in the wind. So dreamy. I actually really love casual Kris, the scene on the phone with Shay and at the house at night she looked really good too.

Yeah. Too bad she probably won't get a hair cut and stop wearing ties though. But it's kind of funny that the character doesn't get why everyone thinks shes so awesome. And her horrified look at the blown up version of herself and the babysitter line cracked me up. I have to say I am enjoying Shane much much more this year than I have before (and really the first episode of the season had me hating her, so this is a huge step forward).

Yeah, I'm looking forward to next week. I don't that by Kris not returning we'll be missing out on any Shaige action either, because though they're cute I can't really see them lasting. Paige just seems far too mature for Shane that I can't see them lasting long. It's more like Shane is this cute little scrawny puppy that she's taken in and needs to give a bath and meal to. I'll enjoying the courtship and sexing while it lasts, but I'm looking forward to 60 full minutes of Kris.

Casual Kris rocks my world. Angela gets a gold star for figuring out what to do with Kris. No biscuit for Ilene. Last week's scenes with Paige were a little odd and sometimes cringe worthy. I will never be able to look at ruffles the same way. *shudders*

Unfortunately, I have to say *sobs* that I'm not seeing the attraction. KM doesn't act like Shane's into Paige at all as far as I can tell. She doesn't even seem comfortable in their scenes together.
Not sure why Paige hit on Shane so hard in last week's ep, it seemed a little out of the blue. Her approach this week was much more sane. I guess there's the difference between IC's writing and AR's. Maybe if we get to spend more than 30 seconds at a time with them and their personality doesn't change every ep, we'll be able to get a feel for the connection.

I actually enjoyed the other storylines in this episode. It seems like all the main characters got involved and yet it didn't feel rushed. They got to be funny and to behave in a way that we could relate to: Bette, Shane, Alice and even crazy!Jenny. I wanted to hug her when she had to explain it all to the cute vet. Hats off to Angela.

So true! I was like, from the opening scene all slack jawed cause I was like "whaaa... this is like all good and funny and shit! They're acting like friends, and I ... I ... I would like hang out with these people! Whaaaaa ...?"

i knew it was hers by a) the fun and laxed atmosphere and b) the music...

Doesn't it just make you contemplate how awesome this show could have been with someone like Robinson at the helm of it instead of the Chaiken. Like imagine TLW populated by likeable characters, who behave in semi-logical ways, have a sense of humor, and actually have conversations with each other instead of topical soundbites? Wow, that would be like ... well, this episode.

i loved when shane was like " hey, aren't you the vagina wig??"

I like this might be the line of the episode. Though Jennyx10's whole Italian voice dialogue is fighting for the top spot. I also loved Bette's "so naive. Jesus!" but that was mostly Beals awesome delivery.

ah, this ep. went down like a rick james song...(please don't ask me to explan that)...

Uh ... okay. *backs away slowly*

Yup, cinematography and script-wise, this one was for the books. :) Absolutely LOVED this episode and the editing was crispy. Loved it to bits. Gosh, loved Bette to bits, too.

This is an episode of TLW that I would not be ashamed to show to people. I dont' think I've ever said that about an ENTIRE episode of TLW before. Definately one for the books, a momentous occassion.

Honestly, I've enjoyed this season more than any other, I really hope the quality keeps up.
