Dollhouse Casting news! YAY!

fembuckFinally some Dollhouse casting news! Whoo are the pretty, pretty people that will be joining The Dushku?
Tahmoh Penikett as Paul *woot* I loveHelo Tahmoh!
Tahmoh is great. He is a giant, handsome man shaped ball of awesome. It'll be great to see him get to spread his wings a bit. BSG has never had enough Helo (Yeah, I'm like one of ten people that was Team Shirtless Helo instead of Team Shirtless Apollo).
They should have just gone ahead and cast Grace Park as Sierra. The more I see of Grace Park, the more I love her. She's funny. And after her delivery of "What else are you going to do? Read a book?" on Letterman during the Top Ten Reasons to Watch the Last Season of Battlestar Galactica, was flipping awesome. I was cracking up like I was Tricia Helfer after she delivered it.
*mourns the idea of Grace or Maggie Q ... picks self up and moves on*
Next is Dichen Lachman as Sierra
Never seen her in anything. She certainly looks bombshell-y. My only note is that I vote for dark hair! From the script sides, she should have a lot of fun with the role of Sierra. Looking forward to seeing her in action.
Enver Gjokaj as Victor
He's the one in the T-Shirt ;)
This is another one I've never heard of/seen in anything. Which is actually pretty typical for Joss shows. He's tall and dark which is pretty much how I pictured Victor. Enver must also be able to do a pretty good British accent, which is also fun, and a selling point, lol. Can't really say anything else. Looking forward to seeing him in action.
And finally we have Fran Kranz as Topher
This is the only one I'm not thrilled about. I didn't really love this guy in The TV Set and I found him really brutal, and not funny on Welcome to the Captain, but then again I think brutal and not funny was pretty much just Welcome to the Captain in general. I just found his style a bit ... um, broad shall we say in both projects (though, in his defense I think he supposed to play it that way in The TV Set).
Now, I'm really looking forward to seeing who they cast as Adelle and Claire. Hopefully I won't have to wait in suspense for too long!

But yeah, Gina's a giant - she's 1.78! Sheesh. :|
Lachman will tower over the Dushku
*nods* Wayyyyy. I thought The Dushku was tall because she was marginally taller against The Buffster but now that I've seen her against some celebs... she's actually petite. Which is really strange because I keep picturing her as tall. Anyway I have a thing with height, as you might notice from this comment. =.=" Lol.
This show is SO gonna be the next big femslash thing, because of Eliza.
Eliza's chemistry with girls are truly amazing. Like it's sexually natural for her. Hmmm, then again Eliza is the sex so naturally, she can even have chemistry with a rock. I would willing to be that rock for a day if I could get groped by Eliza.

Date: 2008-03-27 12:02 pm (UTC)Rachel Nichols, she wasn't a Joss show though. She was on Tim Minear's show "The Inside". I tend to lump Tim's shows (The Inside, Wonderfalls, Drive) in there with Joss's shows, lol. Rachel Nichols is awesome though, and 5'10. The girl is all legs. It's awesome.

Yeah, it's like those commercials: "An insane amount of chemistry with any female within a 10 meter radius = priceless"
Really, that's something that can't be taught, it's just a natural gift. Angie Harmon is another one with a talent like that. I still remember that one episode of Law and Order where she had more chemistry with the random chick playing Ricci then she did with McCoy for the whole season.
There is going to be endless potential for femslash with this show, because all Eliza needs to do to bring it, is be present on screen ;)
