When did Narcissa become Rogue??? Is she gonna have a bad southern accent and green leotards too?  UGH!  I thought I couldn't have hated this casting anymore and now this comes out.  Seriously, I'm sure Helen McCrory is a fine actress and human being, but they should have just hired a fucking blonde (or at least someone who fakes being blonde well).  I mean, all we know about Narcissa is that she's blonde and Draco's mom, and now they've gone and fucked with half of that.

*sigh*  The only thing I can hope for is that there'll be more Narcissa in the movie than in the book since the studio has such a hard-on for Helen McCrory.  And that more Narcissa will translate to more Narcissa and Bellatrix on screen together.

*double sigh* At least HBC still looks like perfection.  And it also looks like Bellatrix and Narcissa are eye!sexin' in that pic, which is cool.

Maybe it's just a really thin way of saying yes, she's a Malfoy but she's also a Black. And since we can't exactly have everyone reveal their lineage by name alone, we'll turn to...HAIRSTYLES! Narcissa will have rogue hair to show her now dual loyalties/heritage/whatever I'm talking out of my ass.

And yeah, it totally looks like Narcissa and Bellatrix are eye!sexin' it. Hot. Snape is totally jealous 'cause he ain't gettin' no sexin'.

If this is the reason, it just confirms that movie studios have absolutely no faith in the audiences intelligence. I mean, they could as well just have a British guy in the corner of the screen holding a poker naming every character that comes on screen, and then every five minutes he could give a recap of the action in case anyone was confused.

I don't put much stock in audience intelligence, but we can all hope that by now anyone going to see the movie will know Narcissa's family well enough that they'll be able to be outraged about the horror that is her hair in this film.

That's probably something that a movie executive would totally think. It makes so sense though. People who have not read the books are not going to seeing like a 6th Potter movie. And really, how stupid would someone have to be not to be able to figure it out, even though she's blonde. All it would take is a "Your my sister and ..." line. Four words of dialogue and they could avoid the whole mess. UGH! BLURG!

Well, I am using the American public as a guide...we're not particularly brilliant. And hey! With her hair all wacky now they won't even have to use those four words of dialogue!

I just thought of something else, maybe they made her hair goofy to distract us from how much older she looks than HBC. Like they're thinking 'Hey, she looks kind of old mate, y'think if we totally f*ck with her hair that anybody will notice?' 'Yeah, if we make the hair distracting enough they totally won't notice.' Or something along those lines.

The fact that Eddie Murphy has been allowed to make movies three Nutty Professor movies should be proof enough of this, but I just keep on hoping that I'm wrong. Because that would be too easy. It also wouldn't send people like us into flurries of outraged activity on the boards, which would mean a drop in publicity. I know you've heard the phrase 'all publicity is good publicity' even when it's just a bunch of people bitching about horrible casting choices. Besides, they wanted to give the director a challenge to overcome...and boy howdy is that hair a challenge!
