When did Narcissa become Rogue??? Is she gonna have a bad southern accent and green leotards too?  UGH!  I thought I couldn't have hated this casting anymore and now this comes out.  Seriously, I'm sure Helen McCrory is a fine actress and human being, but they should have just hired a fucking blonde (or at least someone who fakes being blonde well).  I mean, all we know about Narcissa is that she's blonde and Draco's mom, and now they've gone and fucked with half of that.

The Harry Potter movies always did a decent job in keeping true to the books, better than most book-movie adaptations. But how can they fuck up Narcissa so badly? True, we didn't know much about her physical appearance to begin with but still!

This combined with pushing back the release date really doesn't make me want to see it anymore. I still will, no doubt but I won't be happy about it!

You are right, for what I heard, they really wanted her on the movies for a reason...she was the first in the list to play Bellatrix but she got pregnant and that's why Helena got the character. I never have heard about Helen McCrory before (I think) but she must be good.

Yeah, I remember following the casting there. And I mean, I understand that they want to be loyal to her, and not screw her over for procreating, but they need to keep the character in mind too, and McCrory is just NOT Narcissa.

No, she wasn't in movie 4 (but she was in book 4 briefly). I remember being bitterly dissappointed that they cut her cameo from the 4th book out of the 4th movie (cheap ass bastards not wanting to have a pay a name actress for a days work). McCrory will be the first Narcissa we've seen on screen.

The only reservation I had about her was that she would tower over HBC, but McCrory towers over her as well and is all wrong so who cares is Joely's tall too. Even my new favorite could-have-been Keeley Hawes would have towered over HBC so whatever. HBC is short, I've dealt with it.

Yes, Narcissa is the baby. She's actually supposed to be like a good 6 years younger than Bellatrix. Helen McCrory is actually younger than HBC, but she LOOKS older and that's what really counts. I had the weirdest dream last night about being discovered as a hack after a messed up a line of MacBeth's "Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow" soliloquy. And then like they searched me for drugs, but I hid the drugs on a really high self, but then they found them and I was all like "Let me look at that" and touched the bottle, and then I was "No, they're not mine" thereby giving myself a credible alibi if they finger printed it. And then the lady that accused me was all like "you shouldn't have let her touch that, now she has an excuse", but the principle was all like "would this face lie?" and I shook my head 'no, no it wouldn't' ... and then I can't really remember what happened ...

If this is the reason, it just confirms that movie studios have absolutely no faith in the audiences intelligence. I mean, they could as well just have a British guy in the corner of the screen holding a poker naming every character that comes on screen, and then every five minutes he could give a recap of the action in case anyone was confused.

Besides, they wanted to give the director a challenge to overcome...and boy howdy is that hair a challenge!
