I know I'm late to the party, but ...

I have to say Rizzoli & Isles really surprised me. This episode really convinced me that they're straight.
JUST KIDDING! They were extra super gay with sleepovers on top! See ...

I'm running out of ways to express my feelings about how incredibly gay for each other these two are. And what a big ol' lesbo Jane is in general. Cause she really is a giant gay homosexual lesbian lady-lover. And apparently a boob girl, but that's understandable cause Maura's dinners are fantastic. Plus, Maura was so close Jane was practically motor-boating her and what's not to love in that scenario?
1. Jane was totally acting like a boyfriend that had gotten dragged along to yoga class by her girlfriend. Especially when she got that call and had an excuse to leave and was doing that couple-y "Maura! Maura come on" thing.
2. Maura was so freaking playful during that autopsy. I just wanted to cuddle her right up especially when she made that jiffy lube joke. Jane's "You are so literal" and her epic head tilt were also adorable. And the eyelash fluttering. And the fact that it worked. And the fact that you know Maura manipulates Jane by withholding sex the same way Jane was manipulating Maura by holding out on dinner.
3. I could listen to Jane tell cop stories all day. So cute. Also her cluelessness when Maura said that she had to go to the bathroom and asked Jane to join was adorable. How is it that Maura Isles is more socially adept than Jane? Actually, I'm sure Maura's gone to a butt load of dinners and politely excusing herself was one of the life skills she had to develop. I love that Jane did obediently follow like a good GF when Maura was like "Yes you do" though.
Also, that speculative look Jane gave right after Maura said that sex prevented colds was OMGSOGAY. It totally looked like she was thinking about sex with Maura though I doubt that's what Angie was trying to convey, lol. Also, Maura's attitude towards sex and the fact that she carries a 'sex kit' in her purse is super hot.
I'm convinced that this scene was just Jane and Maura shopping around/interviewing a gay couple to hang out with, and Antonio Sabato Jr. was the one that Jane was suppose to play squash with and hang out with at parties.
4. I am convinced the reason Maura seemed so amused when Jane whispered the word "Dildo" is because Maura knows that Jane is very familiar with the uses of them because Jane had demonstrated her skill first hand to Maura a number of times. Also, "Yeah, the ice age women were using it for making sparks too" Ad lib? Y/Y?
5. That scene with Maura going on and on and on about the flower/chocolate gift basket totally came off like her not so subtly trying to tell Jane what she likes, and that it would be nice if Jane spontaneously sent her something like that, you know, just because Jane was thinking about her. And Jane not paying attention is what led to Maura letting out that "If he saw all sides of you he would lose interest" comment. Jane hurt Maura with her indifference so Maura hurt Jane with her words, lol.
6. Was I the only one who didn't think that Jane looked anything like the victim? I mean both of them are pretty, white (though Angie is deliciously tan), slim with dark hair. But facially they didn't really look at all alike. Korsack and Frost being convinced that Jane loved the idea of hanging out in a lesbian bar was also stellar.
6. EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN JANE'S BEDROOM. Why the hell were they just hanging out in her bedroom? It's not a dorm room, Jane has a real apartment. She didn't go in there to get something. They just walked in with wine and the dog and settled down. This was the most coupley scene to ever couple on the coupliest day of the year. Also, Jane doesn't strike me like a laptop person and the laptop was already at the site, which leads me type MAURA'S LAPTOP WAS JUST SITTING IN JANE'S BEDROOM? WHAT?
And of course, Jane declaring that she "would be the guy". HOT. Maura was beating Jane on my scale of lust for most of this episode with her incredible hilariousness, but that line got Jane to deuce.
Also, I don't know how the writers expect us to believe that they just fell unexpectedly asleep next to each other, when there was a good twenty seconds of Jane fluffing her pillow and setting onto her side so that she could gaze at Maura more comfortably, while Maura closed her eyes and did everything to indicate she was ready for bed other than murmuring, "Night honey."
7. Maura's little rant about dressing Jane being like dressing a "squirmy little six year old" was gold. She was SUCH a girlfriend in that moment. Also, the small smile Jane was wearing when Maura talked about her clothes and being in 'awe' was adorable and won her good GF brownie points.
8. Frost's "she is creepin' me out" about Claire (aka hot chick in blue dress) cracked me up because it was the complete opposite of what I was thinking. Claire was the first/only date that Jane seemed to actually take note of. Of course she did get a little creepy at the end there, but for a little while Jane seemed plenty happy to be talking to her.
9. WHY DOES JANE HAVE SO MUCH SWAG WHEN SHE'S HITTING ON CHICKS AND NO SWAG WHEN SHE'S ON DATES WITH DUDES? Her ghey. That flirting scene with Missy Pyle was pretty hot. Too bad that neck kiss only existed so Jane could have saliva on a swabbable part of her body. It's like the writers don't even care about the resolutions to the crimes of the week making sense.

Date: 2010-08-17 11:13 pm (UTC)And Jane holding the door open for Maura was so gentlemanly. I swooned a little bit. I could hear the "M'lady" in my head.
The boob stare was epic. It was like she just couldn't tear her eyes away and I don't blame her. I would have stared too. You just know that she was cursing the fact that they were being recorded or else she would have just leaned forward and nuzzled Maura's chest. It was obvious that girl wasn't the killer so there was nothing to lose!
Yes, Jane. Those are yours.
Heh. Lucky, bitch!

lol! I was like, don't pretend to be surprised Jane. You know you've woken up with Maura plenty of times after a girls night out.
what's the word bw Text & Subtext and means all but shaggin' on screen?
It's a phrase actually. It's called Rizzoli & Isles, lol

So true, especially the knowing smile she was wearing when doing it. I could hear, "You know you can't resist me" in that smile and flutter.

They have this deep intricate banter that reveals just how well they know each other... and it's at an emotional level we only tend to see in relationships. This is like my scientific method to why I love them so.
Also, Maura's attitude towards sex and the fact that she carries a 'sex kit' in her purse is super hot.
This. The kink!fandom is definitely rejoicing. And I love that any forays into something more sexually adventurous would probably be initiated by Maura. Definitely hot.
Jane hurt Maura with her indifference so Maura hurt Jane with her words, lol.
Long-term couple dynamics Take Two.
This was the most coupley scene to ever couple on the coupliest day of the year.
Aha! Your deductive skills are at work as well!

Date: 2010-08-18 06:38 pm (UTC)This, and that's what makes them OTP level. They are smokin' hot together, but they also have this deep emotional core. These two NEED each other, and that's crazy, sexy, hot.

lol! And this is why Maura often eclipsing Jane on my horny-meter. I'm sure Jane performs more than admirably when Maura gives her instructions, but there is something about a woman who knows what she wants and goes about getting it that's so sexy.
Long-term couple dynamics Take Two.
I know right! They were SUCH a couple this episode. I swear this is a show that could hook up the two main characters and not suffer from the lack of sexual tension. They are just so darling together. Besides, everyone already thinks they're doing it anyway!

Date: 2010-08-18 05:54 am (UTC)Seriously, holiCRAP. It was like the writers had a giant meeting of "there's totally a femslash following for this, so let's give them a MASSIVELY GHEY episode so they can giggle / squee over it." Not that there weren't problems - I mean, c'mon, the cheating lesbian lovers AGAIN?! - but it was totally awesome.
EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN JANE'S BEDROOM. THIS. OMG, this. I missed the scene right before, and I spent half the fricking conversation trying to figure out why they were obviously sleeping in the same bed again. Or at least, what random transparent excuse they could POSSIBLY drum up this time. I mean, this was what, the third 'sleepover' in five episodes? Besides, Maura even says "you sleep in your clothes." Why would she be talking about sleep if they're just hanging out?
Also, when Maura's filling out Jane's profile - was it just me, or was there a little pause when she called Jane her best friend? It seriously sounded like "No! She's my - *pause* - best friend, I'm not putting butch." Call me crazy, but if they're NOT already together, I think Maura has more than a slight clue about their feelings. I think she's just kind of bewildered / edgy about feelings in general, though, so she hasn't done anything about it yet. Their dynamic kind of reminds me of Barbara / Helena from BoP, with shadings of Bones thrown in. xD
P.S. if you haven't seen the new Warehouse 13 episodes yet, you should see them too. For all that I like Pete/Myka, there was a GIANT amount of foe-yay subtext going on between H.G.Wells and Myka tonight. I boggled. xD

Date: 2010-08-18 06:45 pm (UTC)lol. I'm always about a day behind because I have to download the episodes *sigh* It really hurt this week too when I saw everyone's squees and I had to wait until the next morning to watch. I was fasting for a blood test and I nearly passed out, but I was going to watch Rizzoli and Isles before leaving the house dammit!
I spent half the fricking conversation trying to figure out why they were obviously sleeping in the same bed again.
This is why I think it must be intentional. Because there was no rational explanation for it. That scene had to exist solely to tease Rizzisles shippers. And like you pointed out, Maura made a comment about Jane sleeping in her clothes (she made it sound like a common occurrence which means she's been in Jane's bed multiple times) and they both were fluffing pillows and burrowing in for the night, so it makes no sense that they weren't expecting to wake up together.
Their dynamic kind of reminds me of Barbara / Helena from BoP
LOL! I was just thinking this the other day. Barbara and Helena are like the less socially awkward versions of Maura and Jane. These explains a lot about why I love Rizzisles so much. *sigh* I miss BOP.
.S. if you haven't seen the new Warehouse 13 episodes yet, you should see them too.
I'm downloading the latest one now and cursing the fact that my eyeballs haven't been able to watch it yet.

And every time I hear Jane introduce herself as 'Detective' my mind immediately goes "BOXER!" instead of Rizzoli.

Date: 2010-08-18 06:53 pm (UTC)lol, there was no denying it after the first crime scene ... uh, scene in the pilot, but yeah the gay has steadily increased throughout the rest of the episode.
And sleepy Jane is just the cutest. Also this:
Sleepy!Jane is adorable. She would be late for work constantly because I would not be able to stop cuddling her if we were dating.
And that .gif is hilarious. I especially love that when Angie starts with the 'OMG MAH FACE' this little smirk appears on Maura's face that really seems more like Sasha almost losing it because almost immediately her expression turns serious again.
And every time I hear Jane introduce herself as 'Detective' my mind immediately goes "BOXER!" instead of Rizzoli.
lol. I'm safe, because I'm like the one lady lover on the web that didn't love Women's Murder Club. Mostly when Jane is is in her work clothes and you can't see the badge or gun it reminds me of Abbie Carmichael going down to the 2-7. My love for Abbie Carmichael is undying.

Also, I loved Maura's "It's just me" to Jo Friday in the morning. She could as well have said, "Jo, you see me every morning when we get up. Why are you acting so crazy today?"
I honestly don't know if it can get any more gay without having them make-out in a bubble bath together. But I'm looking forward to them trying to gay it up even more
