I don't even ... but it was so good!
Nov. 7th, 2010 10:25 pmLost Girl - 1x08 - "Vexed" is INSANE!
You guys, this episode of Lost Girl was so surreal. It's like, since the pilot there's been the actual Lost Girl and then in my mind there's been the 'Lost Girl that 'could be'. This episode was like the Lost Girl that could be. But it was so weird to watch because there was like no hint from the previous episodes that it was going get good like this! CAUSE OMG THIS EPISODE.
I've put all of my live-action reactions to the episode behind the cut as usual, but I almost want to tell you not to read it so that you can experience this ... whatever this was of an episode fresh.
Best music video opening sequence goes to Lost Girl. It was like George Micheal's "Freedom" video up in there ya'll. I kept on expecting to see Christie Turlington in a bathtub. But as much as I complain about Dyson, and the over-abundance of Bo/Dyson sex scenes, I have to say this one can stay, because even though it was kind of creepy, it was also pretty hot. Also, Lost Girl now officially features ass!
Dyson: She's just using you. She'll never love you.
Bo: Who said anything about love. And you don't know that.
Me: Ooo ... oh.
I don't quite understand Dyson's constant complaints that Lauren is using Bo currently though, since Lauren and Bo haven't so much as kissed. I wonder if Bo's been letting him think that she and Lauren are doing a lot more in the lab together than they are.
Dr. Hot Pants. Hey, Kenzi we can be friends again.
Um, I kind of really like Bo when she's being a violent asshole. In fact I like her to a worrying degree. The show definitely needs to keep Anna Silk in minimal make-out because run-down Bo was all kinds of hot. Seriously. Bo is coming apart at the seams in this episode, but she's never been this hot to me - not even in the pilot which was when I previously thought Bo was at her hottest.
"I like your necklace." Nice, Bo. I think what you really meant to say was, "Heh, I touched your boob."
Ugh, screw you poorly planned season. This conversation with Bo and Lauren - sexy and flirty as it is - and it is, seems like it should have happened in an earlier episode, because considering how long they've been working together on Bo's control it makes no sense that Lauren wasn't already aware of Bo's arrangement with Dyson. UGH! Writers I see you trying to shove information in there that should have been revealed in those Dr. Lauren-free episodes from earlier in the season.
Lauren: *upon finding out about Bo's healing arrangement with Dyson* As your doctor I'd just prefer if you choose someone ... slightly less well-traveled.
Me: Heh.
UGH, what is it about this episode? I actually really like this episode and the tone of it, but it's coming out of nowhere! Bo's so intense and angry and hot but there's been like NO build up to it whatsoever. Last week it was all awkward dates and fun with spiders, and now all of a sudden Bo is super-super-duper-duper about finding out who her mother was right this frakking minute goddammit I will cut it out of you!
Also, Bo and Dyson are barely even frenemies currently but it's come out of nowhwere. I mean, I know last week there was the Dyson/Lauren pissing contest over Bo and Dyson making his big 'No healing for you' pronouncement, but I still didn't expect that there would be THIS level of animosity between them. It's like I'm watching another show, an intense, dark, sexy show. I like. I like.
Fussy!Lauren is CUTE! She is precious when she's worrying about Bo's big-mouth getting her in trouble.
"Still so charming." Heh. Ash I've been sarcastically thinking the same thing about Bo for a while.
"I'm not finished yet!" OH BO! WHY ARE YOU SO SEXY WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY, BLOODY, AND VENGEFUL?
"Smells like fried bitch!" OH KENZI!
OMG! BO is such a MEGA-bitch this episode. It's like she's on PMS steriods. It's awesome.
So that conversation with the Ash and Lauren was interesting:
1) I'm glad it's established here that Lauren has been completely on the up and up so far with what's she's told Bo and in terms of trying to help her.
2) I don't like that the Ash is tryin' to pimp Lauren out.
So that conversation between Bo and Trick was interesting:
1) I don't like that the Ash "owns" Lauren. It does make me wonder what she did or who she pissed off enough that apparently she had to sell herself to the Ash for protection. It does explain why she is so twitchy around him, and why Dyson is concerned about her loyalty. As a human Lauren is obstensibly tied to the Ash more than a fae would be.
*cries* I so don't like where I see this going ...
"At a certain point it's not about losing control anymore, it's about taking it" - interesting words Trick.
OMG! BO HAS A WITCHBLADE!!!!
I like that Bo has a real reason for fighting for this woman so hard, and that it's all about her big emotional love for Lauren. "And who would want to live it with me?" OMG BO I WANT TO HUG YOU.
KISS FINALLY OMG KISS KISS KISS KISS! MORE KISSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EVEN MORE KISSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG THEY"RE DOING IT! THEY"RE DOING IT! IN A BED! NAKED! ROLLING IN A BED \\NOBODY OWNS YOU! SEXY!@ OMG!
POST-COITAL 'I"LL BE BACK SOON' KISSES SO CUTE!!!! WHA....NO! NOT SO SOON DON'T TAKE IT AWAY SO SOON!
OMG LAUREN TELL HER! TELL HER!OMG OMG TELLING HER IS NOT WORKING! OMG THIS HAS GONE SO TERRIBLY WRONG SO QUICKLY! OMG! THIS IS A CLUSTER FUCK! THIS IS A CLUSTER-FUCKING CLUSTER -FUCK!
"I didn't do anything wrong?" UM, LAUREN UR MY BB AND ALL, BUT THE FUCK YOU DIDN'T!?!?!?! STILL I UNDERSTAND WHAT UR TRYIN TO SAY, BUT STILL ... DAMN LAUREN.
OH SHIT SHE'S GONNA GIVE HER THE NECKLACE BACK! OH HELL SHE CALLED IT A DOG COLLAR! OMG THIS EPISODE!
BO'S CALLING IN THE DEBT!
BO IS LIKE THE LOVECHILD OF NORIKO FROM 'HEAVENLY SWORD' AND WITCHBLADE!
THis episode you guys, I'm freaking out!!!!!!!!
CROSS-BOW! Now she's channeling some Abigail Whistler. BITCHIN'
OH LAUREN YOU'RE SHAKING AND YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART!
TRICK is Kaiser Soze? WHAT?
I don't even remember what happens in the previews for next week. I was too busy still freaking the hell out about this episode to really pay attention.
As soon as you see this episode you need to comment here because this episode has messed with my head and my heart and I need to ramble in caplocks with others about it!

Date: 2010-11-08 04:01 am (UTC)I know! It's like the show did snorted some lines, got drunk and drank a whole pack of red bull. I didn't know what the hell was happening, but I LOVED IT! And yes, Bo has never been as badass and hot as she was in this episode.
I have to say though the scene between Lauren and Bo was one of the hottest things I have ever seen and it sucks that it ended the way it did.
I know, right! It was BEAUTIFUL! And that moment when Bo ripped the necklace off of her, really just made me swoon. Bo was actually super romantic in regards to Lauren the whole episode, and the tenderness of their love-making especially compared to her earlier encounter with Dyson made my heart all gooey. And the little peck on the lips when she was getting dressed. And then the way it ended ... gah. I wanted to hug Bo forever. And Lauren too. It was just so all around brutal.
I think Lauren will be in the next episode because I've heard numerous times that Zoie Palmer is in all of the remaining episodes. I'm thinking they didn't feature any clips with her because whatever goes on between her and Bo next week is going to be intense.

Date: 2010-11-08 04:07 am (UTC)I feel really bad for Lauren (and I feel really bad for Bo as well). And their scenes together were really hot, and of course the sex scene and the kissing before it was AMAZING! It was so tender!
I don't know what the show is going to do to start rebuilding that bridge, but they better fucking rebuild it, because Bo and Lauren are glorious together. Also, Dyson is a big fucking liar as well, and he's not in as vulnerable a position as Lauren is.
I'm hoping they just didn't show Lauren in the previews because the scenes between Lauren and Bo are gonna be so intense they don't want to give anything away. I don't think that Lauren was in the preview for this weeks episode either and we know how THAT turned out!

Date: 2010-11-08 04:55 am (UTC)If this was the first episode shot, the actor's must have been like "holy hell, am I going to survive filming this show" cause this episode was INTENSE. Also, if Zoie and Anna's chemistry was this good from the get go, I can't wait to see what they're capable of once they've gotten used to working together. Cause, well, when you see the episode you'll understand.
All I can say is that I hope this episode is an indication of the quality of the episodes to come.

Heh. That's because this episode was the first they filmed - instead of a pilot. It was the "sample" episode Showcase asked for, which is why they ramped up the action and the tone is different. It also focuses on the mytharc instead of a fae-of-the-week.
Michelle Lovretta mentions in a podcast that "viewers can see in episode 8 where we were at the beginning." The tone was darker/sexier but they've since headed towards a campier outcome. It also explains why Bo looks a bit different.
despite that, BEST EPISODE YET, y/n?
Also worthwhile to mention the showrunner describes herself as a shipper (her words!) of many dynamics.
no subject
Date: 2010-11-08 10:27 am (UTC)Aw, I'm kind of sad to here this. I loved the tone and focus on myth in this episode and was hoping that the rest of the episodes would be similar. It's disappointing to know we could have been getting THIS all along, but instead are now getting campier episodes with inconsistent characterization. I don't know how, but I hope that TPTB see the reaction to this episode and darken the series for season 2. Not everything needs to be campy and monster-of-the weeky.
I'm glad Loveretta describes herself as a shipper though. Unfortunately, shipping many dynamics means that there will not be an end to Bo/Dyson who are like a emotional!chemistry vacuum, but it also means that Lauren is not going anywhere which pleases me!

Date: 2010-11-08 10:57 am (UTC)One minute it's like LOOK HOW BAD LAUREN IS. EVIL TRAITOROUS LESBIAN. HETEROSEXUAL IS BETTER. BO AND DYSON FOREVER. And then the next it's like, Bo will fall in true fluffy love with human Lauren and the Fae will hate her while she just sips lemonade and enjoys her white picket fence shit.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU SHOW. STOP TOYING WITH MY HEART
AND MY LOINSWITH YOUR STUPID TENDER LESBIAN SEX.All that aside, angry-to-the-point-of-violence Bo is SMOKIN HOT.
And I honestly can't decide if I'm being all Die For My Ship about Bo/Lauren and hating Dyson because he's in the way, or if I just hate him because he's a fucking asshole. They really like the jealous, territorial wolf thing. I seriously keep expecting Dyson to piss all over Bo every time she's on screen and it's getting more aggravating with each passing episode.

Date: 2010-11-08 12:52 pm (UTC)Yeah, I know right. I was like WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? the whole episode. Apparently this episode was actually like a demo pilot or something which is why Bo was so much darker, and Lauren suddenly forgot things she already knew. In fit into the order of episode fairly well though. One thing that does make me a little happy, it that Lauren/Bo was treated so OTP-ish in this episode which means that from the beginning Lauren/Bo has been viewed as a 'real ship'.
STOP TOYING WITH MY HEART AND MY LOINS WITH YOUR STUPID TENDER LESBIAN SEX.
This is the perfect reaction to the episode. My heart and loins were toyed with as cruelly as Bo's were. They show has officially made me ship Bo/Lauren forever though, so that's something. They are too beautiful and tragic for me not to want to see them get the picket fence and FREEDOM FOR BOTH of them at the end of it all.
And yeah, angry to the point of violence Bo was ridiculously hot. Run-down as she looked for most of the episode, Bo has never been hotter to me.
I honestly can't decide if I'm being all Die For My Ship about Bo/Lauren and hating Dyson because he's in the way, or if I just hate him because he's a fucking asshole.
I KNOW! It's like I was TEAM LAUREN from the pilot, but at least I could understand how Bo (and the audience) was supposed to be torn between them. The more we see, the more it becomes obvious that Lauren is just the superior choice. She's not perfect, but she's far better than Dyson who becomes a more of a punk-ass bitch every episode. He's such a tool. TEAM LAUREN IS THE ONLY TEAM THAT MAKES ANY SENSE! Especially when Dyson lying about knowing Bo's past comes out.
Also, I fucking hate Dyson for talking about how cagey Lauren is without actually telling Bo why. There's only one reason that he wouldn't mention she's a slave, and that's because he knew that it would make Bo want to protect her and drive them closer together. Also, it really makes his snippiness and refusal to follow the rules, and his "your just a human" sassy talk from last episode seem like an even bigger douche, because he KNEW that the Ash could punish her AND that she didn't really have a choice about working for him. UGH.
TEAM LAUREN FOREVER!

Date: 2010-11-08 10:27 pm (UTC)I KNOW! Before I found out that this was a demo pilot, I was super-excited because I thought that we were in for a change tone (to the betterment of the show). It's sad-making to realize that they just decided not to go with this darker, awesomer feel. I mean, I like the show the way it is, but I think I would have REALLY REALLY liked it if it had been more like this episode all along.
As for the whole Lauren/Bo/Ash/Ownership/Sex as diversion thing....fucking hell.
I know right! Cluster-fuck. I cannot wait to see the Bo/Lauren interactions next week, and I kind of hope that the preview wasn't misleading and that Dyson keeping secrets about Bo's mother might come out next week. If Lauren's in the dog house, I want the dog to be in the doghouse too!

Date: 2010-11-08 03:14 pm (UTC)Wowzah! Ya know, it's interesting how another poster said this was the sample episode they used to get the go-ahead to produce a full season. I mean, I gotta give Anna Silk mad props, those are two seriously intense loves scenes she had to do on day one of her job. Bravo for diving in the deep end con mucho gusto!
Man, when Bo got all teary eyed after she found out that the Ash was pulling Lauren's strings all the way to her bedroom, my heart just broke for the girl. As much as I think Bo/Lauren have great chemistry, I felt, at least before this episode, that the way the story was written Bo was more into Dyson than Lauren. But this episode just shot that to shit. I mean, this episode kinda makes me see the previous episodes in a whole new light, sorta. Like, Bo was really trying hard to suppress her feelings for Lauren because she didn't want to set up her heart up for heartache since the whole human/fae combo wasn't in her cards.
I really liked the scene with the dark fae death row lady because you could her story really resonated with Bo and made her that much more invested in seeing that woman free, because it really was about Bo wanting to be free.
This episode was so tightly woven, I really hope the remaining episodes follow suit and I hope the handle the Bo/Lauren rift well and that we get an awesome make up scene. There really needs to be a least one scene where Lauren gets a little less logical and a little more emotional in her explanation of why she did what she did because the whole "I didn't do anything wrong" defense didn't really cut it. In fact, I may have to take a stab at writing it myself because I don't know if I'm patient enough to wait.
I have to say that this show is seriously reminding me of Season 1 Buffy. (Don't flame me over that! I said it "reminded" me of it, I didn't say it was as good as Buffy) Season one was a short midseason replacement and it was mostly a 'monster of the week' season, although the Master storyline was woven in there pretty consistently. I hope this show follows suit, because, as much as I love Buffy, I've had enough teenage angst in my shows for this lifetime. Bring on the adult angst!

Date: 2010-11-08 10:38 pm (UTC)I know. I felt so bad for her in this scene. I also felt awful for Lauren. Both of their hearts were just visibly breaking. But for Bo is was like her first heartbreak which had to make it really painful for her. With how super-romantic she had been about Lauren all episode as well, this was a real punch to the solar plexus for her.
Bo was really trying hard to suppress her feelings for Lauren because she didn't want to set up her heart up for heartache since the whole human/fae combo wasn't in her cards.
This is how I like to think about it. I always held onto the idea that Bo's hesitance to go further with Lauren wasn't out of a lack of interest or motivation, but out of a feeling of genuine caring. She cared about Lauren enough that she didn't want to risk her life, and this episode really goes along with that perfectly.
I really liked the scene with the dark fae death row lady because you could her story really resonated with Bo and made her that much more invested in seeing that woman free, because it really was about Bo wanting to be free.
Oh, I know. The prison scene where Bo was getting a little misty-eyed clearly thinking about Lauren, and then later when B/L were on the couch and Bo was talking about the freedom to live the life she wanted ... *super swoon*
There really needs to be a least one scene where Lauren gets a little less logical and a little more emotional in her explanation of why she did what she did because the whole "I didn't do anything wrong" defense didn't really cut it.
Actually, I thought Lauren really kind of lost her cool this episode and it was fascinating and heartbreaking to see. Her being fussy before Bo's meeting with the Ash really showed her feelings, the way she literally jumped when the Ash told her to go after Bo, and then the shaking and misty-eyes when talking to Bo and then when going to Dyson for help.
I think the "I didn't do anything wrong" was something she said in a moment of panic that didn't really express the reality of the situation. Basically, Bo has proven to be the type that would have gone charging in there even if Lauren had told her that it would result in her death, so Lauren did the only thing she could think of to keep Bo in her house. It's like, "yeah, girl, you did do wrong, but your heart was in the right place."
I would like to see a desperate, teary Lauren going to Bo and trying to explain again, this time with enough time having passed that Bo can actually hear what she's saying.
*sigh* It's such an effed up situation. I understand both their points of views and feel so badly for them both. I WANT THEM TO WORK THINGS OUT AND SHARE SWEET LADY KISSES AGAIN!

Date: 2010-11-08 03:50 pm (UTC)BO WAS INSANE. Super badass and fierce and she should be scowly more often because that look definitely suits her.
GOD LORD I've never seen a scene go from 'HOT' to 'UH OH' to 'MARY MOTHER OF GOD WHERE DID THAT GO SO WRONG' so quickly. I mean...Lauren was SO SO cute and genuinely looked really touched when Bo was talking on the couch and then...I don't know. I don't even know. My brain. It is broken. I'm not even sure what happened for the rest of the episode (for some reason I totally cannot figure out the end scene with Trick. Is he a bad guy now? I just don't know).
Ok. Focus, self. Firstly, best ep yet? I think so. Secondly, I actually really like this darker tone, as opposed to the slightly camp/monster of the week thing. It makes the show seem, I don't know...more credible and sure of itself? I read in the comments that this was a sample/pilot, and I kind of wish they'd stuck with it this way (not that I don't love it anyway, because I do).
Dyson. Ugh. I liked him more in this ep...but that's a relative term. Liking him more simply brings the level of dislike to a more manageable level. He knew Lauren was a slave and didn't tell Bo because he knew her little justice-loving self would try and do something about it, pushing those two closer. Even without my gayness, I'm not sure why people would ship D/B (except...okay, the opening scene was a little hot. Just a little). The way he pulled/yelled at Bo at the end? I would have put a knife to his throat too.
But oh, oh! How are they going to fix Bo/Lauren? They are going to fix them, right? I think the term for my feelings about the whole thing currently is 'lather of consternation'.

Date: 2010-11-08 10:46 pm (UTC)I KNOW! I WAS LIKE, THIS SHOW CANNOT REALLY HAVE THEM BREAKING UP BEFORE LAUREN WAS EVEN ABLE TO PUT HER PANTIES BACK ON! Like damn, have the writers never heard of a honeymoon period? Shiiiiit. The turnaround time was BRUTAL.
Lauren was SO SO cute and genuinely looked really touched when Bo was talking on the couch
I know! That scene was adorable and made my heart warm. And I don't know why, but the way Lauren was holding Bo's wrists when she said "I trust you" made me melt. I think Zoie Palmer might be a real-life succubus because I find EVERYTHING she does incredibly erotic.
Liking him more simply brings the level of dislike to a more manageable level.
So true. I'll never really like the guy. He's proven himself to be too much of an asshat for me to ever like him. It's simply about how much or how little he irritates me in a particular episode now.
Even without my gayness, I'm not sure why people would ship D/B (except...okay, the opening scene was a little hot. Just a little).
Given what a douche Dyson is, I can only think that it's the appeal of Kris Holden-Reid's abs and butt that would make people ship D/B.

Date: 2010-11-08 04:20 pm (UTC)That's pretty much my first impression of this episode. When Lauren finally kissed her and then what that lead to I was seriously doubting I'm awake. I was pleading for someone to pinch me. BUT IT WASN'T A DREAM!!! HOLY FUCK!!!
You're so right, this episode was awesome. Like something happened and they finally figured how to make fantastic tv. I loved Bo beyond words being all angry and Anna Silk looked so freaking hot. For me it was like seeing her for the first time.
And although Lauren did fuck it up I'm so glad they showed that she really cares about Bo and just wanted to keep her safe. I'm not surprised they put this wedge between them. They were so good together and it was like this is it, Bo's totally smitten and doesn't even remember who Dyson is anymore. So of course something had to happen. But because of this I have hope, now I really have hope.
BUT DUUUUUUUUUUUDE! THEY HAD SEX! ON SCREEN! I CAN'T GET OVER IT!

Date: 2010-11-08 10:50 pm (UTC)I know! I felt like David after the Dentist. I was like, "Is this real life?" I couldn't believe it, but I decided that if it was delusion to just roll with it because it was one hell of a delusion!

So true. Bo/Anna have never been as hot to me as in this episode. I was like, "Damn, it get it now!" Angry!Bo could ravage me any time!

This more than anything gives me hope that the writers aren't washing their hands of Bo/Lauren. They portrayed Lauren very sympathetically, and it was clear that she was devastated by how things had turned out. The scene with her going to Dyson really showed that. This is not Smirking Evil, it's just a woman in a bad place who made a bad decision and now desperately wants to make it right.

Date: 2010-11-08 05:32 pm (UTC)I won't repeat the awesome stuff since everyone else has squealed/key smashed over it. But I feel that people are being too hard on Lauren, I mean she did do all that to save Bo's life. The Ash basically told her, "keep her distracted or she'll be dead" I mean what's a girl to do?? I was more annoyed by Bo who was a total ass towards the Ash even though Lauren told her to be respectful. It put Lauren in a really bad position especially since she was going out of her way to convince the Ash to give Bo an audience. But in all, I think it'll be a "good" ending for the two of them. Bo obviously cares really deeply for Lauren, or she wouldn't be hurt so badly.

Yeah, Lauren was really between a rock and a hard place. Especially because she didn't really lie. I mean, we all know that she wanted to be with Bo anyway, the timing of everything was just so incredibly awful. I honestly don't understand how given how things unfolded on the show, how people could actually think Lauren's some kind of asshole.
I think everyone on this show has come across as an asshole at some point except for Lauren.

"Bo loves Dyson. She trusts him. Lauren, she's intrigued by," says Silk.
Um...anvil? I'm sorry, but Bo/Dyson endgame would be so fucking trite. At least bring on another season REGULAR that can compete. Or make Lauren a regular. Or bring on another actress if the chemistry's lacking (tbh, some of the earlier eps had me cringing at the Bo/Lauren interaction...idk if it's from the script or delivery by the actors). Bottom line, uuuugh do something so I don't have to look at Canadian Chris Martin's face for extended periods of time.

Date: 2010-11-08 11:06 pm (UTC)This quote doesn't quite make me hear a Bo/Lauren funeral dirge. Bo has had more interaction with Dyson, and I think feels like she's knows him better than Lauren at this point in time (even though she doesn't). He was the first person she was able to sleep with without killing them, and so she had this kind of puppy-love thing for him.
When Dyson's lying comes out, and that 'trust' Bo feels for Dyson is shattered, we could be looking at a whole new ball game.
Honestly, I think that we probably will end up with a Bo/Dyson end game, but I'm still holding out some hope for Bo/Lauren, and I think that we'll see a lot more Bo/Lauren before that relationship runs its course (if it does). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Zoie Palmer is going to be upgraded to regular status next year.

Date: 2010-11-08 11:08 pm (UTC)It was a really good episode. I don't think I've squeed this hard since Legend of the Seeker was canceled. I doubt Lost Girl will make me freakout because of the awesome as much as LoTS did, but it was nice to have something this awesome on my screen again.

Date: 2010-11-08 06:59 pm (UTC)I don't know whether to love it because it was by far the most intense episode EVER. Or hate it because of how harshly Bo/Lauren was yanked from me.
Oh Lauren. I don't care how bad you messed up, I love you.

Date: 2010-11-08 11:13 pm (UTC)I feel you on this so much. I think about this episode and feel so giddy and then a second later I despair. Bo/Lauren was so perfect for so much of this episode that the end was like a punch through the breastplate. I felt like a Mortal Kombat fatality when Bo tossed the 'dog collar' back at Lauren.
Mostly I think I love the episode though, because it made me ship Bo/Lauren HARD. In a star-crossed, epic romance way. I liked them in the pilot, but then Bo's asshattery made me a bit luke-warm on them, but then THIS episode came along and I will love them forever now, and ship them hard no matter what shenanigans the show pulls, so I'm grateful to the episode for that.
Oh Lauren. I don't care how bad you messed up, I love you.
This. I actually love Lauren even more now. It makes me swoon to realize how much she actually put herself on the line to help Bo out all these times. It was romantic when I thought she might get fired, but knowing that her life actually hangs in the balance makes it that much more epic. Mostly, I just want to give Lauren a thousand hugs (then nap and give Bo bunches and bunches of hugs too).
