I can't fathom how it happened, but I somehow didn't hear about Bitch Slap: The Movie until [profile] backslashglare   gave me the heads up.  So, #1, thank you [profile] backslashglare   and #2 TRAILER TRAILER TRAILER .... TRAILER ...

Honestly, do yourselves a favor and watch the trailer! (link to official website)

Inspiration: “Bitch Slap” is a post-modern, thinking man’s throwback to the “B” Movie/Exploitation films of the 1950’s - 70’s as well as a loving, sly parody of same. Inspired by the likes of “Dragstrip Girls,” “Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill,” “Kung Fu Nun” and the pantheon of Blacksploitation films, “Bitch Slap” mixes hot girls, fast cars, big guns, nasty tongues, outrageous action and jaw-dropping eye candy with a message… don’t be naughty! - source

Synopsis: “Bitch Slap” follows three bad girls (a down-and-out stripper, a drug-running killer and a corporate powerbroker) as they arrive at a remote desert hideaway to extort massive booty from a ruthless underworld kingpin. Things quickly spin out of control as allegiances change, truths are revealed, other criminals arrive for the score, the fate of the world hangs in the balance and they are forced to confront a villain much worse than they ever expected… themselves. - source

It's like Grindhouse (only Dakota and Cherry would've gotten it on - or Julia and Arlene, or Abernathy and Kim, or Zoe and Kim, or Lee and Abernathy or ... well, you get the point)

For your visual pleasure ... Wonder Woman
Trixie! )

And it gets better!  The cast list for the movie is amazing, geeks everywhere will rejoice.

1.  Lucy Lawless
2. Renée O'Connor

Playing nuns!

And at this point I don't think I need to keep going but I will ;)

3. Zoë (motherfrakking) Bell
4. Kevin Sorbo
5. Michael Hurst
6. William Gregory Lee (from Xena,Dark Angel and Dante's Cove)
7. Mark Lutz (aka Groo, from Angel)

*sniffles, wipes eyes*  If somehow Tracie Thoms had been part of this movie, I think it would have been so awesome that my mind would have exploded upon viewing.

Can it be 2009 now?

Okay, so not only is Rosario Dawson beautiful, smart, talented and geeky ... but she's a beautiful, smart, talented, geek who has co-written a comic book series, "Occult Crimes Taskforce", and also models for the main character in said comic book.

A few of the brilliant "trailers" from Grindhouse for everyone to enjoy!

Don't )

Hobo with a Shotgun )

Thanksgiving )

Machete )

Werewolf Women of the SS )

Don't has got to be my favorite out of all of them, but Machete and Thanksgiving are awesome as well, and Hobo with a Shotgun is really fun as well. Werewolf Women of the SS despite the awesome title is probably the weakest out of them, but it had Udo Kier in it so it still kicks butt!

OMG! So good.

Well, "Planet Terror" was just alright. Loved the opening credits with Rose McGowan go-go dancing. That was like the best opening credit sequence ever. Was quite surprised by the fact that Fergie could kind of act. LOVED Marley Shelton (something I never thought I'd say) as Dr. Dakota Block, Freddie Rodriquez was pretty bad-ass as El Wray and is quite the looker, but the movie dragged a little and I was convinced that Cherry and Dakota would make-out in the end and so when they didn't I was irrationally pissed off (I've devised I much sexier ending in my mind, which cheers me up a little though).

"Death Proof" was like the best thing ever though! I LOVED "Death Proof". Some people are like 'oh the first storyline was boring' or 'oh, there's too much talking' blah blah blah. SHUT IT! "Death Proof" ROCKED and it had the best ending possibly ever!

First off, Vanessa Ferlito is HOT! I don't care what you say, her nose has character. HOT!

Secondly, Sydney Poitier is sexy (especially when shaking her ass, and when Vanessa Ferlito is resting her head on her pillowy bosom). And that's SYdney Poitier, NOT SIdney Poitier, she's his daughter (although I'll admit I got a giggle out of seeing "The Girls" title flash by and seeing the name follow because I forgot about the 'y' and was expecting the man himself to show up).

Kurt Russel rocks. I loved him as Stuntman Mike, especially in the second storyline. He was just awesome at the end there.

Tracie Thoms is the coolest motherfucker on the planet. Seriously. I'm pretty sure that after watching "Death Proof" that's a scientific fact. I love Tracie Thoms, I want to have her babies. *swoons*

I was only vaguely aware of who Zoe Bell was before this movie, and I didn't really like her at the beginning but now I love the bitch. She is one awesomely crazy mofo, and can totally handle a lead pipe ... which I think we all know is hot.

Rosario baby, those bangs ... no. Everything else about Abernathy, yes. And she got one of the coolest shots in the movie as well. Awesome.

Serioiusly, "Death Proof" = love.

The 'prevues' they showed before and between the features were awesome as well.

"If you're thinking of opening that door ... DON'T!!"
"If you're thinking of going into the basemet ... DON'T!"
"If you're thinking about seeing this movie alone ... DON'T!"

"Don't" and "Thanksgiving" were my favorites, though I think "Werewolf Women of the SS" wins for best title.
