Nikita has officially won me over.
I adore the Nikita/Alex relationship. I wasn’t sure how they were going to handle it at the end of last episode, and I’m so happy that there is a genuine bond of friendship and caring between them. I have such a thing for mentor/pupil relationships, so the Nikita/Alex relationship is very relevant to my interests. But beyond it hitting on one of my kinks, I really liked that we got to see a softer side to Nikita and get a little insight into her inner world.
I already had a big ass girl!crush on Maggie Q, but the more I see of her as Nikita the bigger the crush is getting. The doting mentor/big sister/protect girlfriend thing in combination with her being totally kickass, confident, snarky and tank-top loving is doing very wonderful things to in my pants.
( More thoughts behind the cut ... beware of spoilers ) Overall, thank goodness for this show. Not just because it’s enjoyable, but because I can now drop Covert Affairs without feeling like I’m missing out on some awesome female spy action. I’ll miss you Joan/Kari Matchett, but Covert Affairs has been feeling like a chore for about four episodes now and I’ve been waiting for an excuse to jump ship.
