This picture is almost enough to make me cry about the fact that the series will never be made into a movie and/or television show because I'll never get to see Maggie Q play Ivy (or as I like to think of this perfect blend of hotness ... Ivy Q).
Fucking Flawless.

Date: 2011-03-31 11:00 pm (UTC)On the better side, there are two series that was recommended through your LJ that I do adore. In an honourable second place is Legend of the Seeker. While first place goes to the awesomeness that is the cartoon series Avatar.
Speaking of Avatar, I have a better idea how terrible is the M Night Shyamalan garbage. No I didn't watch it, but I did recently saw a new 25 min review of it with footage from the film. Which I think is the only possible way to actually sit through the film.
Both the actors and characters are terrible, but I would be lying if I said I didn't find some of it unintentionally funny. Then again it might have been the review. For example the element bending. It was so terrible. In the cartoons the elements actually correspond to the character's movements. In the movie, it looked like the characters had to do bad interpretative dance to activate the elements, then what happened after that would be random.
The movie made element bending look comical. I laugh every time I see that scene of the earth bender fight where one moment one guy could put up a rock wall with a single movement, then the next it takes six earth benders doing an over the top dance to move a tiny rock. It was even funnier when the review played that scene to the Jimi Hendrix song "Along the Watchtower".
