I am legitimately looking forward to this!

I am already damp in the panties for in love with Abby (Rachel Taylor).

I suspect/hope that the show will make it easy for me to ship Abby/Kate (I wanna get down with the swirl, ABC!)

I'm really hoping that this will partially fill in the Legend of the Seeker (and by Legend of the Seeker I mean, Cara/Kahlan) sized hole in my heart.  Like, I know it will not be Legend of the Seeker, and that these girls can never hope to match the majesty of Cara/Kahlan, but I want them to come really, really close ... and then for the internetz to explode with femslash as a result.

Also, I don't understand how Australian girls are so hot, but I'm so happy they are.  I just watched The Secret Circle preview and other than getting a kick out of seeing Natasha Henstridge, Brian Kinney and John Connor in the same preview the only thing that grabbed my attention was the Faye character, and of course after a quick visit to IMDB I learn the actress is Australian.  I don't get it, but whatever you're doing Australia, keep it up!

Minka's all yours, I call Rachel! Actually, usually Minka doesn't really register with me, but she looked pretty badass in this trailer. I think I'll enjoy her in this show. Rachel is still my sweet Australian sugar plumb though ;)

I really hope the main ladies will be as shippable as Alex/Nikita.

I too hope that they have a real bond with each other and therefore are as shippable as Nikita/Alex.

That being said, I love Nikita but it's so dark. I'm hoping this will fill that light-hearted 'girls kicking ass' space LoTS left in my heart.

Like I know LoTS dealt with some serious shit, but it was also really fun and fluffy a lot of the time.

Nikita is a badass show and Nikita, Alex and Amanda are wicked cool, but that show doesn't leave me with fluffy, happy feelings very often.

Can't wait for the pilot <3

I also really hope it will be a more light-hearted show... Though even the most light-hearted shows on earth (*coughGLEEcough*) tend to mess with my poor shipper heart...

Yeah, even light-hearted shows end up having heavy episodes/events in the characters lives, but usually the good guys come out on top and things resolve themselves in an episode or two. Unlike the endless angst train (not complaining, just saying) that Nikita is, so CA's will hopefully be a nice change of pace.

I took at look at the actor, and she is indeed good looking. I've recently developed a Emily Browning fixation after Sucker Punch, it's music and recently rewatching Lemony Snicket, so I think I'm starting to develop a Aussie love too.

I looked at The Secret Circle previews, and might give it a try. I don't watch CW's other L.J. Smith inspired series Vampire Diaries, but I like Henstridge enough and it's about witches. Which I'm more interested in since Hollywood has OCD on vampires.

Also another Leighton connection, are you planning on checking out Amber Heard's series The Playboy Club? I cannot stop thinking of the upcoming cowgirl movie whenever I put Leighton Meester and Amber Heard in the same post. Dammit if Jess Manafort made Lyndsy Fonseca a lesbian in her last movie, she better do the same thing with at least one of them. I'm sure even Leighton or Amber will demand it.

Ugh, I miss LotS Cara/Kahlan so much. I think they were the first "grown-up" femslash ship I've ever had and no other ship seems to match up to their epicness for me now. I can't believe it's been a little over a year since the finale. Anyway, end of rant, might have to check this show out. Btw, have you seen the trailer for The Ringer (Sarah Michelle Gellar's new show)? I was just wondering what your thoughts were on that.

Ugh, I miss LotS Cara/Kahlan so much.

I know *sigh* I've seen a lot of shows come and go in my time, but none have hurt this badly. Usually a year later I'm over/have accepted the loss, but I'm still longing for new episodes of the Cara and Kahlan show *wink*.

Btw, have you seen the trailer for The Ringer (Sarah Michelle Gellar's new show)? I was just wondering what your thoughts were on that.

I did see the trailer for it. I wasn't too interested in the show before the trailer because I knew nothing about it(other than the fact that SMG was involved), but the trailer was really good. I'm now really looking forward to it (though I'm not looking forward to hearing Ioan Gruffud's awful American accent).

It's strange seeing "Buffy" all grown up though. It's gonna take me a little while to get used to SMG in a new role but I'm looking forward to it!

Honestly, I know it's ridiculous to paint all Australians with one brush, it's just that lately pretty much every new actress (and quite a few actors as well) I see that I end up being really impressed with/in love with is Australian.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to be good, but yeah some episodes are going to have to air before true fangirling can begin.

I just want Rachael Taylor on my screen for a long while, plus there can never be too many girls-kicking-ass shows on my TV.

I'll definitely be checking out Secret Circle, but the six minute trailer didn't impress me too much. I found the lead really bland, and the lead dude (Adam?) to be pretty bland as well.

Faye and Diana seemed interesting though, and the whole mythology behind it seems interesting as well (plus, I like both Natasha Henstridge and Gale Harold and their storylines seems good), so as long as Bland and Blander don't monopolize too much screen-time I have the potential to like it.

And I saw the Secret Circle preview and the potential for femslash with Faye (the 'bitchy' brunette) and Diana (the 'nice' brunette), right away too!

I haven't read the series, but apparently in the book they have a really intense friendship and are almost soulmates in that they balance each other out and understand each other more than anyone else understands them. And I've heard fans speculating that if the book series had been started in like 2011 that Diana probably would have been written as gay, so there must be hints of saphhic leans for Diana in the books.

So, I hope that the show keeps those elements for the books, so that even if we don't get out and out femslash (though in 2011 I've been spoiled enough that I DO want out and out femslash) that they'll at least keep that intense friendship so that the internet can do what it does best!

The show looks a lot of fun but I hope we don't get bogged down in ex-criminal-angst because of the changes or, worst still, angels lusting after Bosley - that's just wrong on so many levels. I want a positive romp of a show where every single permutation of angel hookup garners a mass of fans and fanfic. Is that too much to ask?

I can't believe it's been a year since LotS. I still expect news to pop up on my f-list that some sane network has picked it up and we only have X number of months until the new season. You know something's not right with the world when a twosome like Kahlan and Cara disappear from our screens.

Word! I want this to be my light-hearted girls kick-ass show. I've got Nikita already for endless angst and traumatic pasts. I want this show to be overall fluffy entertainment with the occasional forays into seriousness for some character growth.

I also hope that they do not have any of the Angels lust after Bosley. If they cast a young, attractive Bosley I hope that it just for the viewers, that he's man-candy as it were, but that the Angels will treat/view Bosley as they always have. If there's gonna be an agency romance it better be F/F!

Okay, sure, they had me at the girls with guns, driving fast cars and kicking the crap out of people but, you know, this is also ABC we're talking about so who knows how many ways they can truly fuck this up!

I honestly don't think ANY show will be able to do this. I just haven't had a show that's come close to making me fangirl like LoTS did and so I just want something to get me really excited like that, though LoTS was in a category of its own.

This is what I'm hoping for, fun and addictive (with the dynamics and energy to make the internet femslash like it hasn't femslashed in a while!). I just want to be entertained (and aroused, lol). That's not to much to ask is it?

lol, it's gotta be. Whatever they're doing, I hope they keep it up! It's almost gotten to the point where when I see a 20-something actress that I immediately love pop up on screen (big or small) I go to IMDB EXPECTING them to be from Australia and almost all of the time THEY ARE.
