I keep going back and reading more, even though I know it's bad for me! Why? Why do I do this?

( Oh yeah! It's because every once in a while I read something that makes me happy, and dare I say it, even excited for the series to continue ... )

This is probably the best explanation of what's going on in the books, and what's likely to go on in the books that I've read.  If things go as out lined here, I'm still gonna hate on K.H for being a lying liar who lies (and cock-blocks and is a book extension shenanigan-izer), but I will be insanely happy with the series overall arc and conclusion.

You know, I wish the things Kim said could make me half as excited as what is behind the cut did. Seriously, she should get drza44 to do PR for her, because I'm almost officially pumped for this series again, and that right there is a miracle, and who wouldn't want a miracle worker on their side?

Okay, so at this point I think we all know what my feelings were about the first half of this book:

Also, apropo of nothing ... is anyone watching Kings on NBC?  I'm loving it so far.  About 40% of that is because Susanna Thompson is rocks my world.  Another 30% is because Thomasina rocks my socks.  And the other 30% is for all of the other assorted awesomeness that makes up this show.  *wants people with whom to ramble about Kings*

OMG, this book is taking me forever to get through.  It's going so slowly for me.  This is why I can't handle Primetime dramas.  I don't give a shit about the minutia of people's lives.  SOLVE A CRIME OR SOMETHING!  BLOW SOME SHIT UP!  STUPIDLY SNEAK IN SOMEWHERE!  Good God, I miss the idiotic breaking and entering.  TURN INTO A MINK AGAIN!

Once there was action and I consumed it
oft. Where be your techniques of creating suspense now? your
pacing? your descriptions of long onyx hair instead of chest hair?
your flashes of lesbian desire, that were wont to set Ivy's couch on a roar?

Please F-list,  tell me that this was like an off year for Kim, and the next book isn't this tedious.  She's seriously killing my buzz with this shit.  It's ... it's ... believe me when I say that I DON'T want to say this ... but ... it's starting to feel like reading Twilight!  I'm just like, "Shut the fuck up Bella Rachel!" every couple of pages.  Please, please tell me the next book is better.  Please tell me that more than 2 out of every 100 pages in the next book is dedicated to plot.  Please, please tell me.  I want to finish the third book, but I need some encouragement if I'm going to shirk doing actual work to read this.

P.S.  I'm guessing that Nick does something seriously douchey at the end of this book, because every seems to hate him, but about 3/5ths of the way through Book Three he doesn't seem that bad.  Frankly, I would've left town for a while with Rachel tapping ley lines like it was her bachlorette party all the fucking time ... heating up her coffee and shit.  Daaaaamn. 

I'm actually kind of sad Nick'll turn out to be a huge asshole because so far I like him better than Kisten (fuck, what a stupid ass name ... apologies if there are any Kisten's on my f-list, I'm sure the name has a wonderful history that I'm just igorant of.)
